i would go with the xbox one the ps4 tends to overheat more often. and xbox one comes with kinect.

OT: it depends how patient you are. I imagine what will happen is an exclusive game comes out for one whilst you still can't decide and that decides it for ya.

I have an XBox One, it's excellent. Forza Motorsport V plays excellent, sound and graphics. I also have Assassin's Creed IV, and it's MINDBLOWING. Dunno about the PS4, but bad things people are saying about XBox One are INCORRECT!

Time to clear up all the stuff everyone else has typed:

Don't buy a refurbished console, it can have a console ban which means you wont be able to play at all (They sometimes get past game stores). But wait like 6 months to a year and then get the console you want because it will be lower priced. I recommend the Xbox One

Console ban is incredibly unlikely, and the price will not go down in 6 months; a year at the very least (also unlikely).


Also PC's are better, this is true, but not everyone on the planet wants to build their own PC or spend $400-$2,000 then have to go through setup of locating memory and such. With a console you can just plug it in, set your language and play.

Don't mean to be harsh if it came out that way, I just tried to state the facts.

I do love my Xbox One, but it isn't worth it if you want to play something that can be played on 360. I bought my Xbox One to play Battlefield 4. So if you like battlefield, get a next gen console. It has AMAZING graphics, 64 players, 60 frames a second. Also Ryse is a good game if your getting an Xbox One. If your planning to play like Call of Duty or whatever then it's really not worth the $500 upgrade.

Also guys, stop turning this thread into a "which console you should get" thread. This guy isn't asking what console he should get, he's asking if he should get one, or if it's a waste of money. Does it even matter which console he gets? No, they're both good. Also, The Last of Us 2 will probably never happen .

If I had any doubts about which console to buy, this would have made my mind up for me.

I recommend going with the PS4. Much better hardware, A free month of PSN, $100 less, Uncharted 4 and The Last of Us 2 and maybe even the first one would end up on PS4, and much more.

The price for both isn't going down for awhile, so i would say get it whenever, both are good console but personally i like PS4 for its higher hardware, exclusives and in the future if you want to replace the hard drive you can without breaking the warranty or being a tech genius.

You'd be better of waiting until they're cheaper. Then buy a used or refurbished PS4 or Xbox 1 for even cheaper.

later, if u can wait, because the prices drop soon, 499.99 for an xbox is just way too much to buy when it first comes out.

Wait. Stay on Ps3/Xbox 360 until price goes down. They aren't cheap at the moment. (Unless you're rich)
