1.8 skins not working

hello. i have realised that since 1.7.10 my skin has been turned into the steve skin, and this bug has not been fixed yet. my skin works in 1.7.5 and lower, but not after these last updates. It still shows as a steve skin on 1.7.10-1.8. will this be fixed?

reupload your skin to minecraft.net

well I'm going to assume it may be related to a minecraft.net failure and will be fixed soon, I however am not encountering that.
