Hi, this thread is sort of a continuation of my other thread that I had a moderator lock because this thread will be asking two questions. What software should I record with? And, what should my gaming and technology news series be called? I have sony movie studio platinum suite 12. I want to try another program to see if I would like it. Also, for the gaming and technology news series i thought of Virtual News.

Both xSplit and LoiLo are for noobs who don't want to configure OBS (the best recording software I've ever used) or buy software that is good like Action Mirillis. It's only $30 and it has 0 lag and small files. Not to mention you can stream with it without setting everything up. But thats if you're lazy. Both OBS and Action are great for recording. Also, Adobe premiere is more for movie making or high production videos. It's very advanced in my experience. Just stick with what you know well which is Sony, because they make very good Editting software.

Oh boy where do I start. OBS isn't like the overlord of recording software, and things like LoiLo (never heard of xSplit before) is free, so why not?
Thank you!
Nobody is a noob because they prefer an alternative.
Thank you!

Use LoiLo to record. It's awesome. I've been using it for two years now. It records in 1080p, it's free, and there are no watermarks at all. It is super easy to use too. However it does have some issues. The files get very big. It's about 1 GB per minute. It can also conflict with Skype and it cannot record certain games. I tried recording Anno 1404 (called 'Dawn of Discovery' in the US) recently and it didn't work. I stumbled upon some other games it cannot record earlier. However Minecraft is just fine. So yeah, definitely get LoiLo.

ARE YOU SERIOUS?!? LOILO?!? No freaking way! Loilo sucks m8. I tried it already on some of my videos. Lag + Big File size = -snip-! I actually prefer xsplit broadcaster. Its free, and its the best! Small file size, no lag, no watermark! But there are watermarks when you record with 60fps on un-licensed, but on my experience, the watermark didnt appear! So I totally love Xsplit. Everyone SHOULD know about this, at least most.

I have figured out the settings in OBS studio and it's not choppy or laggy at all. What editing software should I use? Currently, I am using sony vegas movie studio platinum suite 12. I would like to try out a different program.

I have just downloaded the trial version of premiere pro because I heard that Premiere Pro is a good editing program.

What other features does it have?

I haven't used anything else other than Bandicam for a screen and game recorder but I think it has nice features and it works very well. I honestly prefer it a lot. As for the name I just thought of Game n Tech Report but that's rather long.

I am mostly going to use OBS to record. That name is quite long but I'll keep it in mind.

OBS classic and Studio are similar but also have differences but I'm going to try both of them out too see which one is better for me.
