I was going to post this at minecraftforums.net, but they've moved to some curse network b.s. since I was there last and now I can't get on with my username... it says it was taken... So I am going to ask the question here.

I have two different places I play minecraft at. One at home and one at my mom's for lunch. At home minecraft has no sound. At mom's it has sound.

What could this be?

The only difference I can see is the internet connection.

Mom has Verizon DSL
At home I have Wild Blue Satellite internet..

Any suggestions?

Try turning the sound on in the options menu...that's all I got. :D

I got the same problem on my other computer. I got a new computer. Problem solved.
Lol but seriousley, try unplugging your speakers and plugging them back in.
