Sup guys, my name is WOWitsAwombat or Sammaxmax47. I have played MineCraft since Beta 1.3. I have seen this once small community grow into a thriving refuge for oddities,nerds,and geeks alike. With the community having people like this in it you are bound to make modifications or mods to make a game that's good into a game that's grate. Lately this portion of the community has become less active than normal. Mods like NetherCraft and AdventureCraft have become good as dead. NetherCraft stopped being updated in Version 1.4. AdventureCraft stopped in Version 1.0. Each mod changed the way you looked at MineCraft. My point is this, appreciate the little things that Moders like KingBDogs, the coder for the Ather Mod do for the community. You never know when something like your favorite mod may go down for the count.

There is a lot of reasons less popular mods die out one of the largest is this notion that "some" people have that coder actually have some type of ownership to modified minecraft files and the original coder stopped working on it and went on to other things in life.

Most mod developers like to abuse adfly to no extent. Trying to make a quick buck. If it becomes popular they will continue making minor changes over and over so you keep clicking those adfly links.

Minecraft forums is one of the worse at this because the Mod forum is pretty much not moderated.

At least that is what it claims... in reality it is just fishtacos mod with a new adfly link so doesn't work and outdated. As soon as I get mod upload permissions I can post a real updated version without adfly garbage.

Minecraft forums have egotistic moderation team that are not qualified to babysit a kitten.

There is also amoung the larger mods internal bickering that isn't shown to the public which slows progress...

And some modders who could careless about quality and more of features to get people to download their buggy software (spacetoad) partial reason two different more qualified coders took over ... that project and forge

There is a lot of things that go on behind the scenes...
