I had the idea that the PMC server should be updated to 1.8 (Spigot) as I was last playing on my other favourite server and I decided to come on to the PMC server and MC said "Please use 1.7.10" and some/most of the existing servers out there have upgraded to 1.8. So as soon as Paril or Cyprezz finds those server plugins for 1.8 or tests them on a 1.8 server, he could update the server to 1.8
Also, Paril or Cyprezz has backups of server files, and world files, so he can use them in the 1.8 server, and if the file(s) fail, he recovers from the latest backup.
