In a wondrous island of peace and fertility, untouched by humankind, a small doe looks across the shore, and detects a smudge on the horizon. The smudge quickly becomes a swarm of smudges, and then a fleet of ships. The doe sees warships and transport ships and all sorts of other ships. Soon the ships land, and a horde of Norsemen come out. They quickly started a settlement, and ravaged the land. The settlement quickly became a large village, and the Norse lands expanded to cover a third of the island. They were completely unaware of the two other settlements, of the Greeks and Celtics, on the other parts of the island. These tribes soon became different than their mainland counterparts, worshiping a different pantheon altogether. Then one day, a Celtic priest set out to the central volcano, to give worship to his gods. At the same time, a Greek philosopher set out to study the volcano, and a Celtic soldier wandered about, heading ultimately in the direction of the volcano. The soldier arrived to find a strange priest prancing about, chanting, and the philosopher arrived to find a priest holding a stave up in defense, as a soldier waved his sword. The volcano then decided to create a small tremor, and the three people quickly ran off to their respective lands, to inform their rulers. . . .

*: Your nationality largely effects your abilities and sacred objects. The Norse are warlike, the Celtics are very natural and ceremonial, and the Greeks are scholarly.
**: Archons can detect gods when they are in their immortal forms. They are usually detected as a large wisp of a certain color.
***: You cannot have conflicting powers. You cannot rend the sky with a storm on an enemy town, and then make it rain flying purple hippos of joy and happiness on your own town. Also, remember, you cannot cause huge cataclysmic events in enemy towns, and you cannot repeatedly use powers in enemy towns. You are not as powerful in an enemy town.
