Thoughts on the FNAF Sister Location Trailer?
So, the Five Nights at Freddy's Sister Location trailer just released.
And honestly, this actually looks pretty interesting.
As a person who has no interest in the series, when I first heard this game was being released, I just sighed in disappointment. I thought we didn't need another FNAF game. But I found the trailer to be pretty interesting. The main animatronic (the girl) actually looks creepy, and the quality compared to the other trailers/games to be much higher. The only worry I have is the game becoming the exact same game FNAF 1-4 is: guard a room till time runs out. If this game doesn't copy/paste like the rest of the games, I can see it being legitimately good.
So yeah. I'm actually pretty hyped. Surprising, I know.
Your thoughts?

Hurray! Smike gets more money!

I'll be honest. I lost a lot of interest in the series for FNaF 3 and FNaF 4 since I did feel like I was playing the same thing. However, you have to remember that for a while, FNaF was a 2-D game made to look like 3-D. The tricks would only work with less movement, so you really couldn't get a lot of gameplay out of it. Plus, if the gameplay were to change a lot, people would still whine that the game wasn't like the original. I really do hope we see something new in Sister Location and maybe some answers to some of the lore as well.
1
I'm excited about this series because by the looks of it, it looks like a free roaming game. And the animation in the elevator looks smooth. Plus, when Scott Cawthon said he was ending his FNAF series, I felt bad, but now he's starting up a new one. What a surprise
1
My opinion? I think it looks like an attempt to milk a long-dead cow.
1
I still don't see why people think the franchise is dead.
The series is stilled talked about regularly today, and the game series is not even 2 years old left. That's the complete opposite of a dead franchise.

Well, the animatronics are considerably more creepy rather than horrifying. I don't like cliffhangers all that much, so I hope this answers all the questions fans have about the series. Also, the dancer is a bit more unsettling since she doesn't open her eyes. Ugh. I will definitely play this when it comes out in the fall. But knowing Scott, he will probably release it earlier.
1
I'm pretty sure that after FNAF WORLD, Scott said that he would never release a game "early" and actually stick with the release date
1
The trailer wasn't specific, so it could be as early as the first day of fall, or in the middle. But who cares when it comes out? If it's another chance to see that amazing lore and story again, count me in.
1
What's with Scott and animatronics?
1
It's his thing called "unoriginality"

*COUGH* CoD *COUGH*

Cause you know, there is so many games with animatronics in them.
Oh wait...
Oh wait...

Trying to beat a dead horse to get more money and less angry fans.

Well Judging by the trailer (Gonna say even the trailers are better) And the animation quality etc. This finally might bring a good FNAF game. The only good FNAF game was FNAF 1, The Others (FNAF 2, 3, 4) Felt Rushed, FNAF 3 and 4 were terrible and should be forgotten. So lets hope this is as good as it looks.
But the game looks legit creepy... The New animatronics look creepy especially is with there moving faces... Tho I hope there is Cameras and Preferably doors as the defense mechanic like FNAF 1. But if the game is free roam like some people are suggesting does that mean its gonna be finally actual 3D, That alone is a game changer.
It be nice if the bad side of the FNAF Fan base would disappear tho, All that shipping is so wrong its beyond it.
And With a little luck undertale will be forgotten.....

I just got out of the fandom months ago, and I'm not going back on that crazy train. Not gonna watch the trailer. Or tell my friend. She's already emo enough.
1
I really find the trailer interesting because of the Free Roaming when I first saw it I was like OMG!!!!!!!! Well I have a theory. You know that girl with the orange hair you see in Fnaf 4? Well she has the same hair thing and eyes!!! So its possible that she died and started to posses Baby,
Also look inside of Ballora's mouth you see sharp teeth so maybe Scott wanted to add that to Fnaf 4? Sharp teeth? It definently seems like a nightmare scott cawthon wanted to add in the game....

Although I don't like the series anymore, it looks quite different and unique than the last 4 games. At one of the parts, it looks like the player is crawling through the vents, so you either play as one of the bots, or Scott decided to allow the protagonist to stand up at a time other than 6:00 AM.

bump.

yush!!! more games!!! i must find game breaking glitches!!! yee yee yee yee yee yee yee yee yee yee yee yee yee yee yee yee yee yee yee yee yee yee!!!!!!!! i still need to start fnaf 4 and finish night one... lol... also i didnt realise until now is that my macro was on lol... its just a clicker macro but ye lol... but i needs more fnaf!!!

Hey look, another terrible game where you just stand there and has a cancerous fanbase
1
Cancer isn't something to make fun of, even if you're just using it to describe a fanbase. I'm okay with complaints to FNaF and it's fanbase, but please don't use cancer to describe it.
1
Finally Someone else said that! ^
1
Cancerous fanbase does not equal bad game. By your logic, games like Undertale are absolutely horrible. (Which it isn't)
The FNAF games function correctly, and have a better atmosphere then most indie horror games.
You're just being close minded. You can hate the game if you want, but let's be 100% honest, at it's worst, the FNAF series is at least ok. People just hate it because if its overexposure. The ONLY reason FNAF gets any hate is the overexposure. If FNAF wasn't as popular, people wouldn't mind the series.

I really don't know why people like FNaF
You're pretty much just a guy standing there and watching some robots move in a club or something

Jordanw5432AnimeFanFTWEeeeh, I will admit, FNAF 4 did do a handful of new things, I can admit that. But it still boils down to guarding a room until time runs out. Nothing wrong with that, but still.
Best case scenario is that Sister Location is free-roam then. If not, however, I'm still fine with that, but I can definitely see why people wouldn't be.
it is most likely a free roam when looking at the trailer. it looks like you are in different rooms and there is a part when you move through a halway/vents. perheps you actually have to leave the building yourself when it is 6 am? like all the animatronics disable and you get to walk around the place seeing their poses and how close they were to you

I really hope this one answers more questions than it opens, like fnaf 3 and 4 did. Also agree with you that it should bring some new mechanics, like NOT BEING STUCK IN THE ROOM. That'd make this game unique and really cool
1
In most cases, I agree with Ataraxy, and a few other people who posted on this thread. Most of the FNAF games seem to be remakes of the first game's style and gameplay, which may or may not be true, as I've never played any of the games before, so I can't really say.
The creepypasta thing of FNAF just got boring the more and more I saw it in the community, until I believed that FNAF just had no value anymore. So many MC skins regarding Freddy and stuff.
I guess if its true and this latest game has better graphics, sound and mechanics than the last, what 5-6 games, then I'm all for it.

I'm going to be honest. I'm pretty tired of the whole 'creepy animatronic' type games. They were cool when the first game came out before people started to basically copy the game. But now I just see it as unoriginal. But overall, from the picture I saw, I think it'll be a good game, the characters look more creepier, the graphics look better.
1
Well, I can see it being a good game. I just hope it's Scott making the game, and not the community forcing him to.
1
Scott Cawthon really upped his game, the graphics and gameplay look considerably better. And Drzzter, I respect you and your views, but it's not a pizza place and you should respect other people and their interests.
1
Then you should respect Drzzter's opinions, too.
1
Looks like another game about a guy standing around in a room watching robotic animals run through hallways in a pizza place.
1
The trailer didn't show a guy standing in a room tho. It showed what animatronics will be in the game. That's it. Don't be too quick to judge.
1
Even as someone who doesn't care about the series, this actually looks pretty good.
1
Maybe he might have spent some more time developing the game aspect this time round. I mean Scott certainly has talent, his art style and capability for creating atmosphere is incredibly, he just needs to start making some actual gameplay.
1
not gonna lie- i kind of enjoy the stories and secrets and all that scott hides in the fnaf games, and i can see the hype building up to this game. i just hope people dont pressure him or anything. i know he can make things right, hes a smart enough dude.
1
Well, that kinda happened with FNAF World. Scott was pressured into releasing it early, and as a result, he wasn't happy with it, to the point where he took it off Steam, worked on it more, then re-released it. Hopefully Scott will take his time with this game.

Jordanw5432AnimeFanFTWJordanw5432I am extremely hyped about this (mostly because of that music in the background XD). I do agree, compared to the other games, the quality is definitely a lot more higher, and the animatronics look creepier. However, I find it kind of strange that people complain about sequels being "copy and pastes" even of though, for a huge part, that's how sequels in general work.
The thing is though, that the FNAF sequels didn't do much to change things up. It mainly sticks to what it did the previous games. While some game series like Mario and Pokemon benefit from this, a horror game series like FNAF makes it a problem. The main thing about horror is what unknown terrors await you. But if it plays the same then the previous games, then the shock value takes a nose dive.
I can see what you mean by that, but now I have to ask why FNaF 4 is included in this XD

That's not to say it doesn't have any scare value, but if the series tries to scare players the same way, over and over, people get bored of it.
