Tile is basically a customizable painting, and a more versatile one. Being able to be placed on any side of any full block, on the top and bottom of slabs, and on top of stairs. And they can be continually be copied or edited at any time without penalty.
So, How is it made? Unfired Clay Tile is made by combining Three ingredients. two clay, one sand block, and one bottle of water will make one tile that will cover one side of one block. In this shape. (You will get the bottle back, emptied of water) x=clay y=sand z=bottled water
x y
x z
You will then need to fire it in a furnace, making a bisque, (meaning unglazed)
Okay, but how is it glazed? Using a "Work Desk", an item that allows you to access, the interface necessary to color your tile with. The Interface will be very large, taking up most of the screen. Including a Grid to paint in. A slot to temporarily store your tile work while painting on it, a slot to copy a completed tile piece, a color pallet, that only shows dyes in your inventory. And a cancel button, in case you right clicked the Work Desk by accident, and a Finish button, to click once you're done painting a particular tile piece.
If you have the option and some extra and particularly rare materials, you may use precious gemstones in the color pallet. This includes, Gold (nugget form), Lapis Lazuli, Diamonds & Emeralds. Pearls will also introduced, white grey in color. They are exclusively obtained by trading with villagers.
One Single dye and gemstone can be used indefinitely, this is to accommodate survival players.
If you do not color any square on the grid, it will be rendered translucent on the final product.
The desk's appearance is essentially a crafting table, with a little pink doily on top.
To make a Work Desk you will need, one of any kind of carpet, four of any kind of wooden plank, and one crafting table, in this formation. x=any carpet, y=any wooden plank, z=crafting table.
