Too many items gone wrong

Sometimes, we all need a little general help.

I installed the too many items mod onto my minecraft and turned my main survival mode to creative in order to build something. I then turned the mod of in the properties text document (as i have done many times before), and now i cant turn the mod back on to switch it back to survival. I've tried re-installing the mod and even deleting and re-installing Minecraft.

Does anyone had this problem before or could give me some advice?

Turn it back on in the config?

Also you may need to press the O button when TMI is installed but not showing in-game.
