URGENT HELP REQUIRED!!!!!

I have bought and downloaded minecraft. I put a custom skin and the game was running smoothly. Today however, I saw that my skin had become the default "steve" skin and I could not play online. When I tried to reset my skin minecraft.net tells me that I have not purchased the game? Minecraft works, but none of the online features such changing my skin or playing online is possible.
P.S-It is vanilla minecraft.
What do I do?!

Eeehm maybe a temporary crash with server?

Utterly weird. The only thing I can imagine is that your internet isn't working properly, but that seems irrelevant since you are able to post here..
