The thing with Alienwares is that they're not very portable, you see. They have abunch of fancy stuff inside them, making it VERY heavy and hard to carry around or bring to places.

Nobody cares about backlit keyboards. The motherboards inside a Alienware will burn up so I'm going to say (If you take REALLY good care of it) 4-6 years at the most before the motherboard dies.

People pay $450+ more than a regular "gaming" laptop, just because it says "Alienware" and the keyboard lights up. #logic at its finest.

Warlock315I don't mean to poop on anyones party. But mousedar has been making these posts about buying a new laptop for months now. I've replied to at least 4 of his posts in full detail, suggesting computers to buy. But he never acknowledges anything, and just ends up making a new post everytime. I'm not telling anyone what to do, but mousedar, check your other friggen posts, instead of making a new one which is the exact same.

I see.

I'll just ignore it then :b

Oh, and because I'm in a good mood today, I conveniently placed two of your previous posts, right here below.

A laptop that is "powerful" is gonna cost you around $1,500. You could get a desktop, that runs faster than that, for $600.

That's more than half the price, for more power, and you don't need a 2380 pound desktop, you can get a light portable one.

Laptops cant be powerfull
thats why its such a hard decision
Either you can have a portable computer that explodes if you just start up your browser
or you can have a super non-portable computer running bf4 with 2 million fps.

first of all, it would be good for us to know a budget that you're working from. second, what are the specifications for the computer you're looking for? personally, though, I would recommend getting a dell or a lenovo - both companies manufacture tough, durable, and portable laptops that perform well. lenovo has a really nice X series laptop - the X1 Carbon weighs a little less than a macbook air w/ a 13-inch screen, has a 14-inch screen, and has more or less the same specifications (it's also a few hundred bucks cheaper and runs win8). if you're looking for something a little more budget-friendly, I'd recommend a thinkpad l440. as for Dell, I highly recommend anything out of the lattitude series. hope i've helped ^^
