Planet Minecraft

Before i begin lately ive had a weird kind of feeling to minecraft and what its had recently.
Its kind of Dissapointing to me really. Ill explain why:

I started in minecraft 1.2 (Beta) And it was really fun and as the update went by they were all amazingly good to me up untill 1.8.
Something about minecraft just snapped and all the sudden became gray. (Not the hunger bar) Like something really just exploded and its all the sudden gray.

And every sence 1.8 the updates seem to have made it even grayer and grayer.

I liked the old lighting system alot. And now its been changed and TNT doesent feel like old tnt now. Endermen i love the addition of that and really servers seemed to die when that happened. I know theres still insane amounts and increasing but really they all seem the same now. And when a new update comes out with brand new stuff. Its like instantly copyed into every server i join. Honestly i think ive kind of gotten tired of minecraft now. The only reason i play is because im admin on a servers trying to keep griefers away and my friends sometimes i find servers i really enjoy. And really i just kind of gave up on the main aspect of minecraft its repeated to much everytime i play:

Start new world. spawn in. get wood. get stone. kill monsters at night go mining. find iron kill monsters again. go mining get diamonds. done now to build. Thoe im not creative. And dont have the time..

Basically the only thing that reminds me of the good old times was the music. Its been there every sence i joined.


When i sall reviews before i even got the game i thought it would be amazing forever.

Like finding diamonds was a big goal for me the first time. But now its like: Cool, Found diamonds. Now to go make a pickaxe/sword/any tool out of it.


Really i wanna go back but multiplayer is my main aspect of minecraft. Basically im stuck in the newest version of minecraft: I wanna go back but no multiplayer to play and im no longer enjoying singleplayer.

So tell me. What do you miss from old minecraft? I miss the Lighting and normal gameplay from 1.2..

Get to level 20. Then ill take that advice to mind. ( But seriously that wasint really answeing or helpfull at all. )

I'll be honest, the same thing happened to me, I played in Alpha 1.0 and enjoyed it so much. Made a house and never got bored. When I found diamonds it was like "OMG DIAMONDZZZ"
Now it's just "Oh hey diamonds..."
The game lost it's true feeling in 1.8 because we had played it so long. We were used to every single thing happening.

I completely agree! I started minecraft in 1.7.3 and i had so much fun until like a month later it got updated to 1.8. everything got somewhat... boring...

Well atleast i know some of you guys (Or girls) Have the same thoughts.

And hunterbee your right. ive played sence 1.2 BETA youve played sence 1.0 ALPHA

And were used to it all. If they made one insanely major update it would pretty much refresh the game for me. (Like adding lots of new items or mobs or something to make the game seem refreshed and for alot new stuff to be explored)

Well of course it isn't the same experience when it was nnew to you. Things get old afterr a while.
