Hey guys, I have a computer with the AMD a6-3500 processor which already has a graphics card built in, the Radeon HD 6530D. See, we got the A6 because we were on a budget. So we bought it. But when I checked the system requirements to play some of the games like CoD or BF3, It said my graphics card didn't meet the requirements. So I searched online if I could pair the 6530D with another graphics card, since I have an available slot. It said I can, and it's called Crossfiring. I got the box of the A6 remembering that there were pictures of other GCs at the side. I looked at it and it said I could pair it with one of the 3 GCs. The HD 6450, 6570, and 6670. Now I searched online for these cards. I saw a lot of reviews that Crossfiring with a 6670 won't make it that good and will be better if you don't use the A6's graphics anymore and just use the 6670 alone. So I'm crossing out the 6670 on my list. So, my question is, which of the 2 GCs, the 6450 and 6570, is better and will meet the system requirements of the games released these days? Your help will mean a LOT to me. Thanks guys!

Well, I can't do that because 1) It's not compatible for Crossfire with the 6530D, and 2) I think it would be better to use the 7950 by itself.

It really depends on your budget. I mean, you could really go overboard and get two 7970's with crossfire and that would be amazing, but also $800.

The 6570 is the better of the two, but, I am not to sure if it will still be able to play BF3, I've never personally used one. Just take a look here.

GTX 620 is still good, but it's getting outdated fast, probably won't be able to play the next years coming games on max

Yeah, I'll have to agree. I'm using the same card (620) and am able to play most modern games on mid settings, but I'm already looking to buy a new card (most likely 670 or 7950).

Anyway, OP, the 6570 is definitely the better choice.

You can't crossfire two cards of different specifications. For example, a 6950 2GB and a 6950 1GB won't be compatible. It's best to crossfire the exact same card, but as long as the specifications are the same (clock speed, memory, etc), then you can crossfire a card of a different manufacturer, such as a Saphire Radeon 6950 2GB and an HIS Radeon 6950 2GB.

Reason being, if you crossfired a 2GB and a 1GB card, it will only recognize the VRAM of the slowest card, so your other card is virtually doing nothing. At that point it'd make more sense to sell your current card and buy two cards of the specifications you'd want. This also avoids stuttering and incompatibility issues.

You also need to take into account power consumption. If you bought your computer (as in, it's not custom built), then chances are the power supply is only powerful enough to support one card. You're going to need a 1000W or more power supply to handle the power of your CPU and an additional card. If you don't have the power, your computer could stutter, freeze, or refuse to POST at all.

To answer the question, there is no "best" card to crossfire with. If your card is crossfire compatible, the best solution would be to purchase the exact same card to crossfire with.

Yeah, that's exactly why I crossed out the 6670 out of my choices
