Yesterday when I turned on some old computer in my basement, to see if it still works, as I may want to put Linux on it, and after ~ 33 seconds , I get a double beep, then 1s later I get another beep (they were kinda delayed, it was not quick). What do those beeps tell me?

I doubt any of it constitutes a hardware problem. It worked many years ago, I haven't used it in a while, and physicilally looks good, so I assume there is probably nothing.

They tell you if the motherboard is working or not, sort of like morsecode.

Check here: http://www.ryansccs.com/computer-beeps-errors.html and see which beep type it was, then fix it if need be.
