What should I build in a small tropical island?

I am going to make a small tropical island (not the tiki- totem style ones) with the help of WorldPainter and I don't know what should I build in it. I was inspired into making something like this through AC4 in which there was Havana and Naisau or something that looked so heavenly and tropic
It would be help if you could suggest some things that would, in your opinion, look good on a tropical and sort of carribbean island.
PS) I am adding a ship, some palm trees, settlements and everything that Havana (AC4) has so suggest something really out of the box that i fall out of my chair xD

Hummm a volcano and some realy beautiful vegetation around it

Blackflag is exactly what I thought of, I would definitely suggest a definitive pirate island, maybe not what you would think. But maybe a small Jack Sparrow sort of island with a hidden storgae and living area under the beach.
