Well first off thanks for making this blog. Realistic I think is much better than listening to people say " Get my guns and play minecraft " Most likely in an apocalypse situation the power grid would fail because of the lack of people to run it. Just thought I would point that out. But anyways. I have a pre made kit actually with lots of stuff just incase this or any global diseaster strikes mankind. This kit includes a Hunting Knife, 2 lighters, flint & steel, cotton balls. Why cotton balls? They catch easily when using flint and steel, so they are great things for fire starting. Also have a first aid kit. When choosing a first aid kit I used the one that comes with cars. It is the best and has the most emergeny and useful stuff ( tweezers, bandages, painkillers, antibiodics, glowsticks, etc ). Then I packed a few trash bags for catching rain water or be used as tarps or with anything it could be useful cause if you think you can come up with tons of uses for it. And it is kept in a really nice carrying bag that has lots of nifty pockets and space. It has a comfortable shoulder strap and it is easy to carry. I also recently bought a machete. Machetes can be used for efficiently chopping zombies, cutting wood or other material, and other useful tasks. Also, if you thing about it some doors will be locked so I packed a device that car jackers use. You stick it on the window, pull back the metal breaker, and release it. Most windows will be completely shaddered if they are not bullet proof. I packed a nice watter bottle and a 3 day supply of provisions that provide all the categories recommended on the food pyramid and give 3/4 of your daily calories and protein needs. They are also all dry and range from 18 to no expiration date. All the food weighs around like 6 pounds or so. It aint awful. I also have a really nice metal Baseball Bat and a custom weapon. It is a nice long steel tube. At one end it is sharpened to a deadly point for jabbing and keeping enemies at bay and/or stabbing them. On the other end is a large metal ball welded to it. This allows me to bash with it. Most affective combat technique is jab, turn it around, and bash. I practiced and have gotten fast with it. As a backup I go hunting sometimes and have a 12 Gage Shotgun. Great amount of spare ammo. And a Glock. It is a nifty little pistol and I stocked around 5 extra magazines. All in all it is around a 20 pound weight for all my gear. I found a nice building that I would camp in. It is close to a Wal-Mart, Kroger, and Target alonge with a crapload of small stores and strip malls. It is a 3 story building with a beautiful up top few. There are the 2 main doors that have 2 layers of metal bars that slide across over it when it is closed and there is one staff backdoor which I can easily barricade. It has 2 locks and it made of a really sturdy material. Inside the building it is abandoned with lots of space and useful items for barricades. It has around 6 spare shelvings units great for barricades and all the doors lock. I planned on the 1 story where all the doors are pretty much blocked off. I would throw all the un-useful stuff around the building there and block off the entrance to the second story. Second story is storage. I would take like 1 of the shelves for my food. There is a hole in the building that is like 1x1 feet large. It is in the top corner of the 2 story. That is where I would connect a tube to the fireplace I already pre built there. Smoke would exit there. On the roof there is a smaller little box that is janitor storage. That would be sleeping headquarters and there is a ladder that goes on top of THAT which would be guard tower. The rest of the roof would be used for the view. I would use trash bags to tarp the building and a small area around it for future survivors though I plan to keep to myself. Also about like 25 yards from the building is a water tower. There is a water source. I plan to make a little pipe system too it so I can get water from it.

That is my plan hope youi liked it. Check out my Zombie Apocalypse Hub [Official] and we can make more plans and stuff.

You, are the first freaking person, I have seen on the internet, to have thought about this. I would think you could make it as long as you stay quiet and try not to attract attention to your self, the van would be good for a large amount of supplies but may make some noise, and there could be roablocks or parked or crashed cars along the roads.

Why are you taking this so seriously? No zombies are actually going to exist.

Scientifically, Zombies could definitely exist.

Dragonflare wrote:Well at first signs of a zombie apoco i would raid a supermarket for food, water (bottles because the desiese could be transfered through river water and therefore into my towns water suply), fishing wire, and electonic fly swater, a crap ton of glass, and a bunch of shovels. first i would set up a trip wire system so if any zombies made it close to my house they would set off my 5 crossbows. and at my door i would add another setup where the flyswater would shock zombies (small but helpfull), next i would use all the glass i got and throw it all around my huse so the shards could break open the skin of a zombie and into their mussel tissue and posibly into their Achilles tendant and if that tendant where to break the zombies could no longer stand up. and with the shovels i would connect my home to others through and underground system. the zombies should be dead by winter oh how i love Illinois.

Highly suggest not going to the supermarket. Cause thats what 80% of everyone else thinks of doing and it would be total chaos. May wanna just camp in your house or another building, wait for all the looters and stuff to die or get sick, and check out the supermarket like 3 days later. The couldnt have taken ALL of it. So just a suggestion. Maybe prepare food before the apocalypse as a prepper.

Realsitically, Zombies can't function. As they're dead, their muscles are rotten. They'd have no strength, not brain functions, and if they could get close enough to bite you, their jaws wouldn't even have the force to break the skin.
[TL;DR of Trigger's speech]

But, if they were mutant zombies....then......

Most people would find safety in numbers, but I wouldn't. Too many human variables ( Greed, breaking of will, bandits, etc) I'd grab as much food as pssible, a few makeshift weapons (No guns in the UK) and hole ut on high ground, raiding shops and such like befre everyone realises that they need to d the same.

Scentifically speaking, anything is possible, they may not be the undead but just a virus, that maked you apear dead, they could be slow moving infected, any which version you have in mind go ahead.
