Hello PMC, I've been browsing through the server list recently, and seen a ton of pvp factions servers. While this is nice (I run a faction pvp server), its just that there are too many of them. Running my server is a lot of stress, and I am thinking of deleting all the plugins and starting fresh. I've been thinking of ideas(if I were to start my server again), and have thought of a few, an RPG server with jobs,classes,and towns, or just a small freebuild server, where the members work together to build things. So, what do you look for in a server? Themes, plugins, whatever you can think of.

I would like kind of a team vs team thing like its one team vs another team and you get to choose which side you would want to be on then you fight to the death and raid stuffz.

I see what you mean, maybe a modified version of factions, where there are only 2 main factions.

I like creative and people don't greif the stuff you make. I HATE when people attack me.

I remember back when it was good old 1.6.6, There was an abundance of survival servers. No PVP. No factions. No griefing. Just good old survival with a group of your friends. Ah, those were the days... So peaceful....

I liked it back then too, I joined around 1.6.6. Although my first server was a freebuild server, it was so much fun to just chat and build with players there. Sadly, that server is practically dead now, so sad to see it go.

I look for a pvp server with a playerbase of 30-40 people. Mods: I prefer the mods that don't add more functionality to the game. I like my servers to have factions and essentials, at bare minimum, and I dislike Hero servers. The map has to be open, with the spawn being the only safe point. And no chest, door, or furnace protection. The people also have to be nice non-hackers who don't try and kill you as soon as you step outside the spawn.

I think that if you were to start your server over I'd suggest an RPG because there are little of that kind of server.
