Hey all, a few months back I made a post here asking whether I should get a car or a PC. As @10Andrew pointed out that I was making this post on a PC gaming community it would be kind of biased and maybe I was hoping people would tell me to get a PC and I believe he was right!

So I ended up going ahead and building my first PC. It was a pain in the ass at first but it was totally worth it.

This is my build (I live in Australia so prices are high and I have to get it locally ) :
CPU - AMD 8350
GPU - Gigabyte Radeon 280
HDD - WD 3.5" 1tb
SSD - Kingston 120gb
PSU - 700w Coolermaster thunder
RAM - Kingston HyperX Fury 2x4gb (Might upgrade to 16gb)
Mobo - ASUS M5A99X-EVO R2
Case - Phantom 240 (white)
and some pretty blue LED lights :3

The build came to about 1k in AUD.

Now enough about me! The point of this post is to find out what you guys have. Now I know Minecraft isn't a very demanding game but I'm sure some of you out there would have some pretty awesome PC's especially considering it's quite cheaper in the US so I'm quite excited for this.

Thanks, Josh

Slowly replaced and upgraded everything in my old Pentium D computer (and then some), and this was the result.

I also have an ASUS VG248QE 144 Hz monitor.

nice build!
its not bad for your first PC

I built quite a few gaming computers around my house but my best would be...

CPU - i7 4970k
GPU - r9 290x
HDD - Got quite a few, I got 2TB + 1TB + 500GB + 320GB = 3820GB
SSD - Samsung 128gb
PSU - Corsair HXi HX1000i
RAM - Dominator Platinum Series, 64GB
Mobo - Maximus VI Hero
Case - Corsair 800D Obdisian Full Tower
For LED's, I bought this custom LED (made for cars), taped it in my PC, and I can choose the color of it anytime.

oh and I have both Mac Yosemite and Windows X

ahaha, nice man. I like your LED idea. How are the full towers? Mine is a mid tower and I quite like it. Not sure which I should get next time round.

Honestly its a pain to move around but it's really nice once everything is set.
Plus, you get much more air space so it's easier to cool down your build and its also easier to build it. And don't forget, full tower cases look amazing!

Mid-Towers are actually perfect, you have enough building space and at the same time its portable.

I actually have another build with the classic phantom "full tower" (in quotes because there is no full, mid, or mini size for the classic phantom, only one size which is equivalent to a mid tower.) case (http://www.nzxt.com/product/detail/34-phantom.html). And I have to say, it's a lot less work than the 800D lol
