Eclipse, in my opinion is the easiest and best to use.
I consider NetBeans to kinda do everything for you and I want to be getting better at javaScript when I make programs.

You have a 2 bit computer? Then how does it even work? o.O
And I would recommend this book if you can get it
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Head-First-Java ... first+java
Also if you are looking for a slightly more advanced code autocompletion I would recommend IntelliJ IDEA
http://www.jetbrains.com/idea/

Seems too low to even run, the smallest amount of "bits" now-a-days is 32 bit.
(I would atleast say)
Sidenote : Thanks everyone! I am trying to learn Java so thanks with all the information!

like the java JDK stuff sorry the java compiler or something like that
Yes, you need the Java JDK platform as well as Eclipse (or another IDE). The book tells you everything you need to do though. Like, everything.

Good luck! Subscribed in case you plan on releasing mods soon [/quote]

What's the API for
Bukkit API, for server-side mods. (Most servers you go on nowadays have Bukkit which uses plugins. The Bukkit API is for coding Bukkit plugins.

Swimmer1929Zlb01Swimmer1929This book is really fun to learn with and actually pretty interactive:
http://www.amazon.com/Beginning-Program ... or+dummies
After that I moved onto this book:
http://www.amazon.com/Java-All---One-Du ... or+dummies
Assuming you're talking about Bukkit plugins (when you mentioned Minecraft plugins), here's the API:
http://jd.bukkit.org/dev/apidocs/

thenewboston on Youtube or at his website (https://buckysroom.org/videos.php?cat=31)
Oracle's Java Tutorials (http://docs.oracle.com/javase/tutorial/ ... Paths.html)
Two great places to get started, don't follow any one way tutorials like a Minecraft modding tutorial or a bukkit plugin tutorial. Learn in a way that you can take the new knowledge and apply it in several places. I made that mistake and couldn't do much else except make a ModLoader mod.

Also Java and Javascript are to different things. You'll be wanting to learn Java for Java programs and plugins, and what not, but Javascript is an extra website programming language that let's you do special functions that you can't do with html.
Go for Java if you're plugin developing, and check out this guys youtube channel for amazing Minecraft Plugin tutorials.
