Planet Minecraft

Please don't think of this as a selfish plug of my own server, but you should seriously check us out before you quit SMP forever. I run a vanilla survival server, and that kind of behavior isn't tolerated whatsoever. We have anti-grief plugins and one chat plugin, but other than that, we are vanilla. We also have a TeamSpeak server, so we're all pretty tight-knit even though we have players and staff from all over the world.

It's all about finding the right server, man. That's the whole reason I created my server, there are too many terrible ones out there. Well, I hope people don't rage too much about plugging my own server. I hope that read this and my server can actually be a solution to their SMP issues similar to the ones that you have had.

I tried a private server, and I come on one day to find all my builds destroyed with TNT. So I pretty much gave up on that too.

We have a close knit community so something like that would never happen.

That's pretty much how that server was, in fact, we all had played on a public server together, before that server was griefed, and pretty much ruined. The thing is, I know the griefer in real life, and I was actually best friends with the owners of BOTH servers.

I never find good roleplay servers, and don't like other servers, so I don't really play Minecraft that much.

i played on this server called aetheon and it was really small and it had no greifing and u get to know a lot of the players really well then the owner (Kimson1000) he turned into a bitch cuz people were saying he spawns items for him self and so he de oped him self and they reset maps like every week its so annoying

Also on another level of admins abusing or misleading advertisement... saying they are like 9000 slots and run 2gb ram... that very misleading to anyone that doesnt understand ram... I also dont like how server owners expect people to play the server if all the staff do is abuse.

Just thought of this bright idea: If a group of coders came together to create a plugin that allows you to report abusive staff members, where it would send it to the server owner or someone of high rank to review. Could be useful with spout? Have some onscreen screenshot, sent to a Owner to review the abuse claim.

There is a plugin called "Petitions", or something like that. It lets you make a ticket, that goes directly to the owner, though your idea seems like a good one. I am new to coding, but I am taking a coding class later this summer, I could possibly help make it.

This just makes me sick. It seems like Minecraft's community is starting to severely degrade, as with most other modern games. The majority of the servers I have played on have been packed to the brim with 12-year-old asshats who love to run their mouths off at newer members with serious insults. What happened to player quality?

What i dont like about minecraft servers is,

Servers with over 300 slots lags,
Servers with under 50 slots 1/2 the time have abusive staff,
Servers that give out "Diamonds" when you join (Ruins any survival factor of the game),
Servers that give "500$ for voting for us daily!" (When a diamond is worth 50$)
Oh ya dont forget about the money scheme servers "Donate 60$ and get Flying, Mod use, OP, Creative, God Tools/Weapons/Armor" (Tends to ward off any potential dedicated user, and server owner thinks he will continue to get more donations and spends all the donations on personal stuff, then server doesnt get donations and it closes down after a few months.)
