Hello, i recently started thinking about the 1.3 update and i realized that i have an optifine version for 1.2.5. My question is, will i lose optifine in the update or will i not be able to update at all

Not sure i'm worrying about this aswell :S! And if I update to 1.3 I can't go on any of my fave servers. I guess we should just wait a bit till it updates?

I suggest waiting for about a week. By then, your servers, mods, and texture packs should be up to date.

just updated my optifine just went away

if you update to 1.3 you will lose optifine because it refreshes all the jar file you could re-install optifine in the new 1.3 jar but it might not work but i dont see a reason why it shouldnt work with 1.3 as no classes for 1.3 are being edited or removed.

They obfuscated the code (Again!) as far as i know. So mods won't work in 1.3.1.

Wait wait wait. I just updated to 1.3.1 I use optifine but it blacked my screen when i tried to reinstall. There needs to be a new update for optifine. Oh and yes mods do work. I have TMI 3.1 beta mod. Oh and one more question? are any of you getting a java connection reset error when trying to join a server????

Yeah. Its probably because servers haven't updated either. In about a week everything should be up-to-date. I think this update was released one hour ago.

You cant get optifine yet because optifine is only at 1.2.5!
I was trying to get optifine with tmi just now, but i noticed that optifine was only 1.2.5, so i stopped trying to get optifine and guess what? it didnt black screen me
