I think the games are a lot more family-based than other consoles. They don't really make the kind of games ps3 and xbox make (loooots of first person shooters) not that that's a bad thing.

Nintendo is not for kids, it's for people who want a good story and characters. Most other game developers(there are exceptions) make games with a limited plot and not many creative characters. Take most war fps games for example, those have a small plot(win a war) and a even smaller characters.

It's more family-based like Taylor said. And Wii doesn't do much violent stuff, and more based for any user on the family, from the kid, to the mother, to the father. It's an all-around thing.

It is a family based company mainly for kids, they still make games that can be fun for both children and adults Mario, Zelda, Earthbound are a few, saying they aren't is just pogwash.

Video game's are meant for kids, that's how they started and that's how they'll end, Nintendo have never produced a high brand adult game.

Wii is great for hardcore gamers. Just like pigs can fly.
