NASA Workbench

Recipe

The NASA Workbench is used to craft all spaceships (currently only one type), and other space vehicles such as Moon Buggys. Upon right-clicking the NASA workbench you will see the following interface:

The launch pad is required for the launch of any spacecraft. To allow a spaceship to be placed, there must be a 3 x 3 launch pad, as shown in the image below:

Portable Oxygen System

Oxygen Tanks are a player's source of oxygen when exploring a planet. After pressing the Galacticraft Player inventory key (default "R"), a GUI appears with new slots for oxygen gear. The tanks are placed like so:

Rocket Fuel

Rocket Fuel is required for the launch of all spacecraft.

Note this is most likely a temporary recipe.

You can access the Rocket Fuel GUI by pressing the "Open Spacecraft Inventory" button while sitting in the spacecraft, default F key.










Oxygen Distribution

Just like the Oxygen Tank system, there is also more permenant ways of breathing on other planets. This is the recommended system of staying alive for homes and bases throughout the Galaxy.

Recipe

The Oxygen Collector is used to collect oxygen from nearby leaves (from trees). Once a Collector has been placed in the vacinity of enough leaves, it will blow fresh oxygen through adjacent Oxygen Pipes.

Oxygen pipes are used to connect various Oxygen Distribution and Manipulation devices.

The Oxygen Distributor, once connected to an Oxygen Pipe with sufficient oxygen flowing through it, will distribute the oxygen into a sphere of breathable oxygen blocks.

Sensor Goggles

Recipe

While wearing Sensor Goggles, the following interface will appear. Any mobs (not including other players) will appear a bright blue, which helps with sight of mobs on dark planets.

Sensor Goggles allow you to find ore blocks in a nearby radius, without being too overpowered.

With Advanced Mode off, as shown below, the interface will display where ore blocks ore located relative to player head rotation. Only ore within 3 blocks of the player will be displayed.

With Advanced Mode on, as shown below, the indicator also checks distance from player on the y-axis aswell. This is more useful, but will take a bit more getting used to.

You should delete your config file and start a new world for this update. This is a one-time world break and it won't happen again.
1.5 update.
Complete recode of all machines. Each machine requires electricity input now.
Added fuel loader that, when attached to a launch pad and electrical input, will load fuel into a spaceship.
Added support for ICBM radar and Anti-Ballistic Missiles.
Added support for Mekanism Gas system.

If Buildcraft is loaded, using a bucket on a Galacticraft oil block will give a Buildcraft oil bucket.
Extractor will properly extract oil now, instead of having to use it on the solid block below the oil.

Starting with Universal Electricity... implemented new language system to begin.
Added new oxygen suffocation death message.
Fixed ArrayOutOfBounds crash.
Only decay leaves if oxygen collector is outputting oxygen to a distributor/compressor.
Add config value for disabling/enabling other mod's generation on the moon.
Spaceship item won't render if you are inside a spaceship. Simply because it looked strange.
Spaceship overlay GUI won't show up in first person.
When you leave a spaceship you will have the same 3rd person state as when you entered (third person/first person/third person facing).
Add config value for disabling fancy tile entity rendering. This will increase FPS on older computers.
Fix refinery giving fuel with level 61.
Placing buildcraft oil into the refinery will create proper fuel stack.
Fix for refining any item into fuel. (no more fuel from dirt...)
Hopefully fix Simplified Chinese language loading.

You have NaN diamonds! Congrats! Anyway yah I clicked diamond and it changed to "NaN" which is probably a bug with planet minecraft. Anyway I played with this mod long before the yogscast covered it (as in back in alpha 0.0.4 for mc 1.4.7) and it's fun to watch it become so popular.

ID Conflict I think. Change the Item ID for aluminum wire in the galacticraft config to something different that would most likely not be accupied.

Wait a sec,I read over my crash report and the crash was caused by that the party mod laser block ID was used in one of this mod's block IDs. That might be the problem. I will un-install the party mod.

You don't need to uninstall any mods, install this mod:

try idfixminus first and if that doesn't work try idfix. If neither works you will need to uninstall party.

Basically, what is happening is that every block in minecraft has a number, called an id. Even mods need to give ids to their blocks. It doesn't matter what that number is, it can be any number. Your problem is that galacticraft uses the number 3972 for aluminum wire, and party mod also uses 3972 for laser light. What idfix and idfixminus do is they change the number that one of the mods uses so that it works. The reason they are two seperate mods is because they both do this in different ways, so one way works on some mods while one way works on others, depending on how the mod is made. The reason this is saying the problem is with party mod and not with galacticraft is because galacticraft was loaded before party mod. Loading order is, with exceptions of coarse, random and arbitrary.

Hi! I just want to say two things:
1. When will you be updating this mod to 1.7.5 or 1.8?
2. For a suggestion, you should do the planets Mercury and Venus before you do Jupiter or something else beacause Jupiter is made out of gas, wich would`ny really be much of an adventure would it? And Venus and Mercury are made out of rock so it might be easier to design it. But again, its just a suggestion!

You should be able to make your own orbit and make your own trajectories to go to just like kerbal space program.

if you don't know what i mean - ya know, like a feature that you have to tilt your ship for a gravity turn to make an orbit, then throttle to finish the orbit and choose which planet to go to by hitting your orbit circle on the planet's orbit, then maybe you would have to slow yourself down to make an orbit around that planet ect. instead of choosing your planet.

Seems like a challenge to make, to create the universe and render what the minecraft world looks like. But maybe you would have to change the world sizes, to become more planet realistic (there is no boundry of the world's end, you will go around the world every time without falling into the void) and then you will have to render what the world looks like outside other than making it look like earth, because sometimes it would look like you came out of an ocean.

Also maybe the ability to generate new planets and galaxies, and will only be rendered in "sectors," just like sector space? and maybe not just create a space station with a single click but you would just send one up? ability to go to the sun with a lavaproof plate to build on? the possibilities are endless.

Also, i might wanna tell you about the overworld generation though. The overworld should ALWAYS spawn as the third farthest planet from the sun, since it wouldn't make sense if the overworld was generated near the sun. Maybe we could also give the planets a name, except for the moon?

These are a lot of suggestions, but im just trying to give you a good idea.

There seems to be a very bad bug on servers where if you put something in a compresser, leave the server or chunks, and come back everything is gone in the compresser. It seems to apply to elecricity stuff as well. I haven't tried other machinery as well but I lost tons of resources before I noticed this bug. :/ If this helps, i'm using galacticraft core, mars, and micdoodle8 core version 1.6.4-2.0.8.908.

I think there is another bug. I'm sorry. There seems to be where if someone crafts some space wear on a server and someone new join, the new person spawn with the wear as well. I haven't checked if this was fixed in the latest version, but it happened with my friend.
