We are currently on BUILD 3.2

Requires Modloader 1.2.5

Simple Drag&Drop into your Minecraft.jar!

This is a mod that will become gigantic. Mrfangp72 and Bruhscyther present The Buffalo Mod. They are ridable with a certain saddles made of wool. They have beautiful leg animations and will drop meat as well as make cow-like sounds. There is currently talk of adding new food for this and Buffalo Armor. Please Subscribe to Bruhscyther to get the Version for 1.3 when it is released. Below are some more features that will soon be added!
+ Better Saddle Mapping
+ Custom Drops
+ Babies
+ Controllable Rides
+ Buffalos Must be Tamed to Ride!

but buffalo used to go around in groups of hundreds so that makes it more realistic in a way but iagree you cann find them to easily

1. You should make the buffalo bigger. In real life they are way bigger than a cow.
2. GREAT MOD!!!!! LOVE IT!!!!

4. You should make it so they only spawn in grasslands because I'm pretty sure buffalo don't live in desserts or jungles.

Lol, original idea xD This deserves to be more popular, the horns are perfect. 
I also tried to lmake my own mob once, but it kept despawning when I relogged, couldn't spawn it with SPC and when I tried to make them hold something it didn't work. Did you ahev the same problem in the beginning? Do you know what I have to do? It would be awesome if I knew how to make my own mob xd

YES make like hide armor from buffalo pelts (between leather and iron strength).also, drop buffalo bones, craft into bone meal / bone tools / bone bowls. maybe even teepees!!! I LOVE YOU!!!!!!

Warning! Long Post Ideas! Please Read!

~`~~~~~` Also, if you look at the Tropicraft mod, the Ashen warriors(I think thats how you say it) when you kill them they drop their masks, the masks is an Actual Entity, and is dependent on how the Mask looked like. Possibly you could make the Buff. Skulls Randomly spawn throughout deserts and other places, and/or, be able to be taken from the Buffalo as a random drop..? and maybe the buffalo could drop various things, like their hair, which can be made into twine, which can be made into a rope to easily capture and move around buffalo. and Their own meat named Buffalo Meat, and when you cook it, they can become Buffalo Steak! and of course the implementation of being to control the buffalo with twine and leather (and possibly iron) to create a special saddle to be able to control the Animals. and you can use the Rope to capture and lead other Buffalo while you ride another buffalo... and like carl_j_c said, make them a lil' bit bigger. other than that, outstanding modification! You had a splended Idea. Good job!~~~~~`~~~` Sorry for the long post, many Ideas!

Oh! and the skulls can be multiple sizes. I'd be happy to create the textures for you, if you show me the bone structure..
I can also create other buffalo textures, so they're not all the same? Call me if you need me.
