Aww, you readin' this? <3 Anyway, this was the product of me being bored all night tonight and wanting to learn how to mod. This is my FIRST mod, and I'm actually pretty proud it turned out this well for my first. It's pretty straight forward, and it's not hard to pick up at all.
Chrome is really abundant, and generates below layer 72 (so you can find it on the surface as well.) It was made as a kind of go-between for iron and diamond. It's about the same as iron/gold tools, but lasts a lot longer than both of them. Because chromite is more common than iron both on the surface and underground, you won't have a problem making tools (and you can save that iron for armor!)
I may make chrome armor if I get some recommendations... :P
