Description

This mod adds a set of tools to create npcs with different roles/jobs and other functions. It gives Creative Players a way to liven up their world with fully Customizable NPCs.

I've downloaded the mod and everything's working fine, but I can't add my own custom skins?? I've Googled but all the results say things about folders and a customnpc folder under the .minecraft one, but I don't have that folder?? Did I install something wrong?

**BUGS** (Maybe) I found a problem. When I click other box to change stats after changing minimal time delay (arrow-shooting), the game's like shutting down itself. I think it's not crash because there was a warning like "Game is shutting down". Love this mod!

By the way, how do I control the NPC I am riding?

Hi, I love the mod but I was hoping for some help, I'm trying to make a brown sphax textured tamed wolf and right now it only gives me access to the regular sphax grey wolf. Anyone know how to fix this?

i love it! but one thing that scares me that when i'm trying to turn it into something like a animel or a mob i'm really really scared of ghast! it pop up when i was finding a animel or a mob i was really scared!
and an other thing that how do you get it to fight you or a mob or an other NPC guy or animels??

Hoping for some help here, Did javascript in my comp. programming class in Highschool 8 years ago so im a little LOST now. Im trying to create a script that will move a Shopkeeper NPC from Position 1 (X,Y,Z) to Position 2 (X,Y,Z) after the time is about 10700 and then back when the time is about 500 (as defined by var time = world.getTIme % 24000). Can anyone help me out? im sure this is WAAAY WRONG but so far im getting several non-functioning and USELESS scripts that either crash the NPC and game or just do NOTHING.

Guys... I'm scared.. I was just making a red dragon npc when the chat say sometimes u see a bright star in
the sky then lightning sound and thr was.. obsidian.. block of coal , fire and.. *gasp* a strange red block
luckily I got not enough items.. it was.. a meteor.. block????!!!!!

Custom NPCs can be used with other mods, but not all mods are compatible. Enviromine is not compatible while MrCrayFish's Furniture Mod is. Which mods were you trying to use with it?

Did you set the distance you wanted them to wander? Also, give them a moment. They don't move right away. They may take a second or two to "feel" like moving.

Also, are you that YouTube guy who talks about older games? You just a fan of that guy? Or is it you just happen to have the same/similar name?

Ive set them to high levels,I wait forever and they still don't move.And as for the name that's HONESTLY a coincidence due to a character I made who happened to control wind,though I do happen to be a fan of thye youtuber.

In case it happens again, make sure you don't hit "Freeze all" when you use the wand in the air. That may have caused them to not move.

You have to make sure that NPC is set to a hostile faction. By default, I think "Agressive" is hostile and I think you can attack "Neutral". If you created a custom faction, you need to make it hate you. A simple way to do that is make a simple Quest and have the outcome give -1000(or anything higher) against that faction and they should attack you(provided you set that specific NPC to attack when an enemy faction is spotted)

To make it retreat, go to the AI tab and there should be something that says "On sight" or "Sighted"(should be in the left side. The default is "Retaliate, but another option is "Retreat". Set it to that and if you wander within its sight range, it will run.

Natural spawn is bugged. If you try using it, the selected NPCs will spawn everywhere at an extreme rate no matter how you set it. Don't use it. Hopefully it will be fixed in a future update.

Give your NPC the job of a guard, then do edit. Then you could select the mobs that the npc could attack.

Good-day! I am a big fan of your mod, as well as someone who has used it quite a bit to create a rather massive map. I must bring up one thing, your Mod doesn't seem to want to cooperate in creating mobs that can live on the planets of Galacticraft. I was hoping that perhaps you could incorporate some integration for that? IT'd make for a very interesting ability at map making when using other dimensions that have atmospheric limitations.

Is there a way to easily view custom recipes? My map has a lot of custom recipes and I'd like it if players could just see how they are made without having to use the wand or have to be told. If not, maybe add a recipe book that shows all the allowed/existing NPC mod recipes?

recipes though I'm still trying to figure out how to make the armor and some other stuff

You click on -> Global -> Factions -> then you choose the faction you want to change the color on -> click on "Color" and choose the white color or write FFFFFF -> then you hit the done button and you've changed your faction color.

How do you open the custom npc folder, I can't find it, what do I need to download to get to it. Plus I really want to change their skins, customize them with my own, how would I do that?

.minecraft\customnpcs\assets\customnpcs
You can just paste skins in there and it will register them. Just make sure when you try to load the skin in-game that you hit the UP option a few times until you see it. I have probably close to 100 extra skins in mine.

Also make sure the skin is in the right format. If you are using skincraft or 1.8 skins, they will not work correctly. You would have to manually edit the skins to fit the old parameters.

Very unlikely to happen. I don't wish to speak for the creator of the mod, but that is a very different mod. The flans vehicles do not operate like vanilla transports so they would be difficult to make it useable by an NPC let alone drive and steer it. The most that coud probably be done is having an NPC sit inside/on top of it.

Ey I really like it that you made the option specific target by Guard but can you make a button for attackers specific target because i am using a mod but when i want to do a 5 vs 1 than it only attacks them 1 at a time and they dont go naturly afther him so the battles arent that fun I hope you will add it into the mod :)

Can you please make the option where you can turn your custom npc into a custom spawn egg? Because if you are trying to make a huge army and are in a hurry, using the clone wand gets anoying. Thanks.

They are in the same tab as the NPC tools. Use one on an NPC and they get stored in the gem until you right click them again. You can also load it into a dispenser to spawn with a redstone current.

Sorry about the rage, great mod :D TIP FOR ANYONE: Curse only doesnt work with safari, i know Firefox and Crome are alot worse, but yeah :/ use one of them. Hope that helped!

Question: How can I edit player relations with factions? I want certain factions to attack players on sight, but they only attack if they wereattacked first. I set them as gaurds who attack everything and even made them attack hostile factions, but they never attack players.

Yet another suggestion: When I'm building and want players to pick up a select few items I have to put them in a chest/barrel/box. Sometimes those things don't really fit in the design of the location. It seems odd to find a wooden crate inside a lab. I think it would be a good addition if you included small containers that are the size of a player head that could be placed on the ground to not stand out so much. Most of the time I just want to put one or two items in it and it feels wasted and unfitting to have a block sixed container.

Another idea to work around this would be to include a new role/job that makes NPCs a container/pack mule. So it could be useful if you wanted players to search a dead body or if you want to have a NPC carry all your stuff, or even chest texture for the NPCslime and shrink it down to make it look like a small chest.

Idea:
Like how you made the option to make the NPC type an anthropod, maybe make an option to make it aquatic. Aquatic could only spawn in water and swim around underwater like a squid without floating to the top or sinking. Could also make a bat type so players could make flying NPCs. Players could use a custom texture to make a NPC bat look like a bird and have it naturally spawn around the worlds.

I'm making a bunch of animal NPCs and an aquatic/flying option would be helpful.

Is there a way to trigger an NPC to spawn when redstone is activated? If so, how can I do that? Making a massive adventure map and that feature would be very helpful.

I got a little probelm with the mod, Im making ana dventure map and Im spawning in fresh Npc's but when they spawn in their heads asre tilted down and the Npc's dont lift them themselves. All other Npc's I spawned in before didnt have this issues either, any thoughts?

Just an idea. Maybe add a feature that adds a few placeholder items and blocks that can be textured with custom textures. So make a blank weapon and have the ability to choose which texture you want to equip to it.
