Description

This mod adds a set of tools to create npcs with different roles/jobs and other functions. It gives Creative Players a way to liven up their world with fully Customizable NPCs.

how do you change the color to white of the factions?

You click on -> Global -> Factions -> then you choose the faction you want to change the color on -> click on "Color" and choose the white color or write FFFFFF -> then you hit the done button and you've changed your faction color.

How do you open the custom npc folder, I can't find it, what do I need to download to get to it. Plus I really want to change their skins, customize them with my own, how would I do that?

Ey I really like it that you made the option specific target by Guard but can you make a button for attackers specific target because i am using a mod but when i want to do a 5 vs 1 than it only attacks them 1 at a time and they dont go naturly afther him so the battles arent that fun I hope you will add it into the mod :)

Can you please make the option where you can turn your custom npc into a custom spawn egg? Because if you are trying to make a huge army and are in a hurry, using the clone wand gets anoying. Thanks.

Sorry about the rage, great mod :D TIP FOR ANYONE: Curse only doesnt work with safari, i know Firefox and Crome are alot worse, but yeah :/ use one of them. Hope that helped!

Question: How can I edit player relations with factions? I want certain factions to attack players on sight, but they only attack if they wereattacked first. I set them as gaurds who attack everything and even made them attack hostile factions, but they never attack players.

Yet another suggestion: When I'm building and want players to pick up a select few items I have to put them in a chest/barrel/box. Sometimes those things don't really fit in the design of the location. It seems odd to find a wooden crate inside a lab. I think it would be a good addition if you included small containers that are the size of a player head that could be placed on the ground to not stand out so much. Most of the time I just want to put one or two items in it and it feels wasted and unfitting to have a block sixed container.

Another idea to work around this would be to include a new role/job that makes NPCs a container/pack mule. So it could be useful if you wanted players to search a dead body or if you want to have a NPC carry all your stuff, or even chest texture for the NPCslime and shrink it down to make it look like a small chest.

Idea:
Like how you made the option to make the NPC type an anthropod, maybe make an option to make it aquatic. Aquatic could only spawn in water and swim around underwater like a squid without floating to the top or sinking. Could also make a bat type so players could make flying NPCs. Players could use a custom texture to make a NPC bat look like a bird and have it naturally spawn around the worlds.

I'm making a bunch of animal NPCs and an aquatic/flying option would be helpful.

Is there a way to trigger an NPC to spawn when redstone is activated? If so, how can I do that? Making a massive adventure map and that feature would be very helpful.

Hey Sepon/Noppes
I got a little probelm with the mod, Im making ana dventure map and Im spawning in fresh Npc's but when they spawn in their heads asre tilted down and the Npc's dont lift them themselves. All other Npc's I spawned in before didnt have this issues either, any thoughts?

Just an idea. Maybe add a feature that adds a few placeholder items and blocks that can be textured with custom textures. So make a blank weapon and have the ability to choose which texture you want to equip to it.

You have to set the NPC as a follower then click "Edit" next to the "Follwer" selection. You have to set a price(any item) and how long they will follow you for each price(3 configurable prices available).

I have a quaestion: Ok, so I added a spawn in the Global->Natural Spawns, I added the biomes are like forests or water parts, then I set the spawn weight to 40, but it is not spawning, how can I make it naturally spawn? (I really want to make custom stuff)

I can't quite figure out how to make the Natural Spawn feature work. I made the NPCs, cloned them with the cloner wand, opened up Natural Spawn, and set them to appear in every biome. They don't seem to spawn without me manually cloning them. Am I missing a step?

if you use the tool [I forgot what its called] the one under 'CustomNPC's Tools' that is shaped like a wooden hoe.
Use that and right click on the ground, this will spawn an NPC and open a menu. On this menu head over to the Global tab and go to Recipes.

Make a new recipe and you can drag Items into the grid and the output boxes to make a recipe. Name the recipe and delete the NPC you made by selecting delete in the corner of the menu (Unless you want to keep te NPC)

Alternatively, you can right click on an NPC you've already made with the hoe tool to open the menu, then follow the rest of the steps.

oh you want the textures? Press the select texture button in the display menu. Now double click the <UP> and than double click the elfmale folder

A small reccomendation, you should be able to create some quests that the player is not aware of. This means that it does not tell the player when you get them or when they are updated and they do not appear in the quest list. This would be very helpful for making simple mechanics that are quest-based without having the player see a quest and not know what it is.


Anyhow, this is the single greatest mod and it deserves a diamond.

I believe he means that hidden qusts will function exactly the same as other quests but the player isn't aware of them, this means that they could be finished the same way as others: either instantly when you go to a location/obtain an item/kill certain enemies or select some dialogue or after returning to a certain NPC.

I love the idea of this feature and think it will help a lot with different quest-based mechanics.

Also, could you add a function to give multiple quests when you finish one, meaning when making a quest, in the 'next quest' option, have the ability to choose multiple, this would also help a lot in quest mechanics.

How do i add a skin? I tried opening the NPC file in the mod folder but its a java file, so i cant open it. Any ideas?

Ik in 1.6.4, I would kill one of my CustomNPC's and Id morph into them, Id be their size, shape, color, and name. But none of their traits (i.e Health, Attack, etc.)

Ik know you can script your NPC's but I was wondering if its possible to script them to build, mine, etc. It would be the best if I could get my custom NPC's to build there own homes, forage for food, etc. Kinda like a VERY advanced Villager, with the ability to build, mine or grief :D plz tell me if this can work :D

Are there any templates you know of? Or anyone who can script? I feel foolish for asking, lol, I havent a clue on how to script at all. I would greatly appreciate it if anyone helped me get my NPC's to build, mine, etc. (pretty much act like a AI controlled player?).

You can add sounds to minecraft through resource packs. Search on how to create a sounds.json. These sounds you can also use with custom npcs
