My first mod!

This mod adds 15 things to the game.

Specifics

The Arctic Biome

Is composed of snow, ice and rock, and contains massive mountains and overhangs. It is usually a rather large biome, and can be found fairly easily if you look for it for long enough.

The Eskimo Villager

Spawns in the Arctic Biome, and has 16 hearts. (They are very resistant to nature, aren't they?) They generally spawn in packs of 6 or more. They are a passive mob, and will not attack but run away if you hit them. They drop raw fish upon death. Now with spawn eggs!

Eskimo Huts

Generate in the Arctic Biome, quite commonly. They are composed of Dark Logs, Stone Slabs, and Snow, which make them good for harvesting resources if necessary. They contain 4 torches, (3 usually end up on the ground), a bed, furnace, and empty chest. Because of my noobish skills with MCEdit, a redstone torch falls to the ground nearby. The Eskimo's spawning location is not always near a hut.

*Note: These things often spawn in very bizarre places, such as half in the air of hanging off of a cliff. I am working on a fix!

Firewood

This is a basic item added to the game in the spirit of Eskimo style living. The crafting is 5 sticks, lined up in an 'X' formation. Firewood is a very good fuel giving 10 items worth of fire. Placeable! The current item name is 'FIrewood', I will fix this in the next update. *Fixed

Polar Bear (not functional yet)

Aggressive mob, spawns in the arctic. Absolutely TERRIBLE skin right now, working on it ASAP. 9 hearts, deals 1 heart, drops raw polar bear meat. Standard speed of all mobs.

Polar Bear Meat

Dropped from polar bears. Gives 1 food point when raw, and 3-4 when cooked. If you are a good texturer, and want to retexture these items, I will gladly implement your texture into the mod, with your name in the credit.

Fireplace

Decoration block. Made from 6 cobblestone all along the top and bottom, firewood in the middle, and iron bars on the side. Gives off a very low amount of light (will increase in next update) Left click (in survival mode) to light it. If you are a good texturer, and want to retexture these items, I will gladly implement your texture into the mod, with your name in the credit.

Snow-fox [Not released yet]

Unimplemented because of bug issues. Has 9 hearts, and drops fur. Faster than usual mobs, around twice as fast. Looks a bit like an ocelot. Non-aggressive, will flee when hit.

Fur Armor

Crafted from fur. Around the same amount of armor points as leather. Gives you the look of the Eskimos. Enchant-able! Crafted the same way as usual armor is.

Ice Tools

Crafted from ice shards, like normal tools. 700 uses, has the same mining qualities of Iron. Enchant-able! Note: Hoe not included yet.

Ancient Ice Ore

Generates naturally. Drops ice shard (for tools) when mined. Somewhat common.

Ice Shards

Basic item. Comes from ancient ice ore. Can be used to craft ice tools. Can craft ice block (vanilla block, not new) with 9 shards.

Snow Slab

Decoration item. Has the same texture as snow, but only appears as a half slab. Notdouble place-able (if you try to place one on top of another they will both bug out) Can be placed on top half of block, but very buggy.

Penguins

Spawns in the arctic biome, and has 10 hearts. Drops fur. (they actually do have a bit of fur on their bodies, to keep warm in the harsh -80 degree weather) Now with spawn eggs! Spawns rarely, but when spawned they spawn in a pack of ten. (A pack of penguins is called a 'rookerie') Skin made by Roobus!

PC:

1) Go into the start icon at the bottom and type %appdata%

2) Open Roaming

3) Open minecraft

4) Open Bin

5) Open minecraft.jar using winrar or 7zip

6) Drag all files into minecraft.jar

7) Delete Meta-inf
