This is a mod i made like, an hour ago. Took me less than an hour, but I've always wanted a lightsaber.. soo... LIGHTSABERS WOOO:D
 You can craft 6 different colors of lightsabers. Please see the pictures for the crafting recipes.
Modloader is supported and required!
Enjoy (:

- Lightsabers can extend and contract their blades! Right click to contract the blade, and right click again to extend it!

Yeah, i know what you mean. But it wont work. Do you know how minecraft's lighting system works? Like each block has a light level, depending on the distance they are from a light source, and how powerful that source is?
Well the lightsaber is not a set block position, so all of the blocks around it would have nothing to reference for light. Even if I could somehow just get it to cast the light from the block it is in, the lighting updates when you move would most certainly crash most people's computers.

I'm literally working on them right now. (:
I've also just added sounds, because somebody suggested that a while ago. So the whole.... WHHAAAAQUUIIRRSSHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH and WHOOOERP sounds will be there when you extend and retract them, as well as 2 different BZZEW sounds when you hit things. (50-50 chance to sound either one. )
Probably will also add BZZEW BZZEW sounds to the blasters, so when you shoot them you get that satisfying sound of vaporization.

No. The droids spawn naturally.
Perhaps crafting droids would be an idea....
make them kinda like the wolves. Fight for you, using the new blasters, (Might be a little bit too OP though... ) you can tell them to stay, follow, etc.. 
I'll consider it.

I only use Modloader because it keeps everything compatible. (most people use it)

Don't do anything with them. Just extract everything in the zip, including the folder of textures, into the jar.

um... your textures for the droid and clone are exactly the same as the ones used in Mics lightsaber mod. Is there some sort of mystake?

Well to be honest, we both took that storm trooper texture from a popular skin on this site.
I didn't see his droid texture, but if it is the same as mine, then i will be flaging his post, because I did texture that droid, and spent several hours trying to get that droid model right.

Doesn´t work for me :( I have 1.2.5 and modloader. I dragged all fikes of modloader and your mod into minecraft.jar and deleted the META-INF. Any idea what the problem could be?

Make sure you install on a fresh jar, just to see if it might be other mods being incompatible.

Nope. ItemBHandle.class is not in the downloaded zip file. I redownloaded it to make sure. It's not in there! Minecraft error log tells me it's missing. And my eyes tell me the same thing!


Somebody else can confirm this?

doesnt seem to be working for me :( i have modloader installed, running 1.2.5 and my modloader says turned on. i know how to add mods to the .jar folder but evreytime i seem to add this mod the client keeps crashing. cant get a error report as it closes too fast but it crashes when i add the saber mod.. so idk :( sadly i really want this mod
