  • "Hrrh!" Villagers are no longer Caveman Squidwards and no longer make sound. They are now male or female humans with over 250 unique skins.
  • You can interact with villagers in many ways, such as chatting with them, asking them to follow you, hiring them to do work, giving them gifts, and more!
  • Interacting with villagers builds relationships. Get your relationship high enough, and you'll be able to marry a villager.
  • Once you're married, you can have children. Children will grow up over time and do many different chores for you.
  • Children eventually grow up into adults, who can get married and have children of their own.
  • You can marry other players and have children in SMP and LAN.
  • MCA will change the way you play hardcore mode forever. Playing in hardcore unlocks a small, but game-changing super-secret feature. (not present in recent versions, sorry!)
  • There's no loss of original Minecraft functionality. MCA villagers can be traded with, and any modded villagers are not overwritten with MCA villagers.

Note: MCA connects to a remote server to check for updates and also send us crash reports.

You can also download MCA and RadixCore via Curse. Be aware that Curse may not always have the latest versions of MCA.

Unfortunately there's always the chance of running into a bug while playing MCA. You have several options when reporting a bug.

Do nothing - That's right. If your game crashes while you are playing, you don't have to tell us. We will automatically be notified and your crash report will be sent to us. If you never make it into the game, though, we won't receive that, so let us know you are having that sort of issue!

Create an issue on GitHub - This requires a GitHub account, which is free. We usually respond within a few minutes. You will also be automatically notified when the issue is fixed. Please include your Minecraft version and MCA version. Go to our Issue Tracker to create an issue.

Send a private message - You can send your question or bug report via private message to me here on the forums. While I may not respond, all private messages are read.

Send an e-mail - If you don't have an account on the forums, you can send us an e-mail. Send all e-mails to [email protected]. Please do not send suggestions.

Ehem, I'm not sure if I'm the only one eternally bugged by this, but its almost impossible to kiss or hug or do anything friendly with villagers anymore! Kissing and hugging chance barely gets above 30% (even with five gold hearts and married and just gifted a diamond), and that pretty much means theres a 0% chance of it going well because I could swear these percentages are flawed. And you can only really interact twice before they stop being nice.
You would think that if you're at a 95% chance for shaking hands, it would go well, right? But no. Thats a 5% chance that it would go bad, and it still did. It's so rare that villagers are ever nice to you now. I miss the old interaction system.
Appart from that, it's a fantastic mod and I thank you for it. When ever I update Minecraft it's the first one I download, and I love the new GUI's and spawn system and everything else since 5.0.0. And also, thank you heaps for stopping villagers dying in walls when they go to sleep! That annoyed me so much!

Maybe in the next update you could either fix the percentages so conversations and interactions are more realistic, or add the option to change the chances of interactions going well. Please help me out here.

Oh that was annoying me a lot, thanks for this change, I was about to complain xD

When you go to creative and open 1 of the tasks from mod objects, you will see 3 weird black/pink blocks. Search for the villager editor and change how tall he is.

Hello, Today I have a big problem. My siblings and I loved playing together, but there was a bug. When we multiplayer, we switch genders, and in my world, when my sibling came, I suddenly became a boy and got HIS username. Can you fix this?

Could you add villager that build structures. By chance is it possible if I can have permission to take some of this mod and make it into a offshoot of this mod. May I or may I not?

In about 1.7.10, there is a crystal ball that transport you to a village or other. Lower versions, your suppose to find a village yourself. And the main reason is that villagers are male and females, and you can marry and get a child. They are found only in villages.

Hello Wildb,in the past versions of your mod when you give something to a villager, armor or item they used to wear it, and you can see it on the npc but now in the new version 5.0.6  when i give items to t he NPC they dont wear it anymore and most of the time they reject my gift they used to wear even items from other mods it would be nice to have that back in the new version just saying thank you! =)

the exact reason that they think ur a stranger and ect is that, after the name change, UUID's were introduced which CANNOT be changed. because this mod is not updated for uuids, the game thinks the player no longer exists.
