I've tested it out... it's okay but it needs working on... a LOT of working on. But maybe in the future it could be better with trees and intractable blocks and zombies that kill and crafting and everything in minecraft!!!

I have, in fact I'm in the process of recreating Minecraft alpha using JUST java (no extra libraries, which means a custom written polygonal based rendering engine).
It's going pretty well so far :)
