Added a config file. This can modify everything from the item IDs to the damage that obsidian swords do. You can edit using any text editor in %appdata%/.minecraft/config/Obsidian++.cfg

Are these tools more durable than diamond, or just a step below? I think it would make more sense if Obsidian was a step below mainly because of how easy it is to find/farm.

good theory I00terc00n but i think it should have more durability and more powerful/faster as you NEED DIAMOND TO ACTUALY GET OBSEDIAN. So you get my point? hopefully you get my point of view.

cool, but I believe another material should have been used, obsidian in reality is extremely brittle and a chest-plate would likely have an explosive effect when struck. the tools make sense though. aboriginals in south america have made obsidian tools for thousands of years.

yes, minecraft makes all the sense ever. think of a diamond chestplate. For one thing, it would be too heavy to wear, and if cut horizontally, would slice right in half. my point is, minecraft is nonsensical.

well most mods run on winRAR or forge but i suggest winRAR cuz i never tried forge, and u delete most of the META-INF folders but if that doesnt work and messes up your minecraft then just force update it

Mods aren't that hard to configure into your minecraft, just go into your .minecraft make a mods folder and drag it in there (Or open your minecraft .jar and drag the folders and stuff from the mod into there) Make sure you have what the mod needs though, (Modloader, Forge, etc. etc)

Hey, I was just wondering if there is a way to repair obsidian stuff on an anvil to keep your enchantments?

Also when I put on the armor it just shows my base skin, no armor animation at all.

Def + a diamond though :D

You mean unzip. And yes you do cause you need to unzip any file that is for a mod before you put it in the minecraft.jar cause something bad might happen if you don't

you may add craftable obsidian blocks by using 9 pieces of obsidian ingot but not real obsisian maybe smooth obsidian block to look more beautiful?

For most of micdoodle8's mods, you need to open the zip file that you downloaded, and then open the "mods" folder. Then you should see the zip file containing that mod. Then all you need to do is move that mod to your "mods" folder in your .minecraft folder and then you're done. I hope that isn't too confusing. If you have any questions, just ask.

Oh okay, but mods acually never work on my minecraft, except for TMI and Spc mod. Do you know what the problem might be? I always watch the download video or the READ ME file with the install in it. (mostly) I have to delete META-INF and when I have to I do that I do  that ofcourse, so I don't think that might be the problem. but do you have any idea what it could be?

obsidian tools are always better than diamonds. I never understood why.the only reason it's valuable is it takes forever to mine. besides that, it's super common. basically, go to nether, get infinite amounts of relatively easily obtainable tools that are better than diamond. I love the idea of obby tools, just not the uber tools.
