RAM ++ (More server RAM)


This program allows servers to have more RAM depending on the amount of RAM that your PC has. This currently works for Bukkit and a Normal server. If you know more server clients then please send me a link to their homepage and I will make the MSR support that to!



How to give server more RAM with RAM ++:


1. Open .zip file with WinRAR, WinZIP or 7Zip

2. Move RAM ++ to the folder where your Server Starter is located (Bukkit/Normal server) is located

3. Run the program

4. Type the number in MB's that you want to reserve for your server, then hit enter and wait for 5 secs...

5. Your server will start with the number of RAM that you have entered if no error ocurred!

PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING:


- Not for Mac OS/Windows XP or VISTA  BUT IT WOULD BE GREAT IF SOMEBODY WOULD TEST THIS!

- Does not work for TEKKIT, YOGBOX and all that kind of servers PLEASE TEST THIS AS WELL!

for those stating that you  can't download ram,,.you're the noob, read the description.  it allows you to allocate a specific amount of CURRENT ram for your server to use...it adds nothing.

Oh my god XD There is actually a site called downloadmoreram.com where you can apparently click a download and add RAM. That's just preying on computer noobs.

lol its impossible to download RAM (Random Allocated Memory). It's a kind of hardware in your pc, you can't just simply "download" it.

i got a laptop yesterday, installed minecraft and bukkit pluggins, and i got this today. i use that laptop for nothing but my server, and i deleted all non-essential programs to increase speed. now, even a crappy computer get a minimal of 72 fps while on my server (tho i have only let 2-3 people on to test). im going to set up a cool 24/7 factions pvp system, with hunger games, and 4 walls set auto. i am also thinking about adding a paint ball mini game to it later :D

just to let you know this pluggin/mod is only useful for vanilla servers because with bukkit you can change the ram amoount very easily ( by editing the .batch launcher file) but this is still a beter mod than i can do so 1 diamond for you!

lol, it's not the program that sucks but its your pc that sucks. Your pc couldn't reserve that much MB, normale it can reserve the maximum of 33% of your RAM.

if your increasing ram allocated to your server then just bump the XMX and XMS values...
how is this better then just changing the values?

it is a bit more complicated for vanilla ( and most people dont know how to launch a vanilla server with more ram.)
