This mod lets you make sandwiches!
I always thought you should be able to make sandwiches in Minecraft.
I give credit for the bread slice idea to Minecraftman47239.

Sandwiches
Pork Sandwiches - heals 6 hunger units

Steak Sandwiches - heals 6 hunger units

Chicken Sandwiches - heals 5 hunger units

Fish Sandwiches - heals 4.5 hunger units

PB&J Sandwiches - heals 7 hunger units

Other
Bread Slices - used to make sandwiches, heals half a hunger unit

Peanuts - heals half a hunger unit
Found when breaking dirt blocks, with grass on it. Similar to finding flint in gravel, you wont always find one.
I plan on making it have its own plant.

Peanut Butter - heals 2 hunger units

Grapes - heals half a hunger unit
Found when breaking vines without shears. Similar to finding flint in gravel, you wont always find one.
I plan on making it have its own plant.

Jelly - heals 1.5 hunger units

Jars - used to make peanut butter and jelly

Installation
-Use winrar to open minecraft.jar (the one in the bin folder) and drag the class file and the folder into it.
-You need to get Mod Loader so if you dont already have it just google it, it shouldn't be to hard to find. Put those class files in the same place as the mod.

Yeah, its pretty rare. I usually harvest some vines with shears first, then I make a vine farm with them. They are rare because the pb&j sandwich heals so much.

This is really one of the most creative, and practical mods I have ever seen. I'm stuck with 64+ steak and was looking for more food options, and my friend suggested this mod! Just to let you know, the overwrite of the vine class that lets grapes drop from vines, also disables the climbability of vines. Is it possible to fix this?

The main thing is having ItemFood in there. The second thing you need is how much it heals, which I have at 12 (counts as half units, so this would heal 6 all together)

Ask if you need anymore help.

Thanks for the help! Also not to be a bother, but I know the lamb chop mod restores HP, I'm not going to use it so if you don't know it's fine, but just to know more, if you could that is, do you mind telling me how to restore HP?

I used to know how to do that, but I can't remember! I remember that on the old versions of Minecraft food would restore HP, so I will try to find some old files to see how its done. If you find out how before I reply again, please tell me, because I would like to know how to do it too.

I was searching, I have not figures out if this had worked but someone had said this:

"All living entities have a variable called "health" so you could do if(getMaxHealth() - health >= 2) health+=2; This would check if the entity is missing 2 health, then when the food is eaten it gets 2 health back. Play around with it a bit, all living entities have a "health" variable and a "getMaxHealth()" method."
This should work, yet I have not tried yet

Jelly is what americians call Jello or geletin (I dont know how to spell it because i'm from England) So to be honest i don't wanna get this mod because the so called "jelly" in this mod is not proper jelly.

There are some that don't need modloader, but its better to use modloader for those mods (like the recipe mods) because you can get more mods to work with other mods. Someone can edit the already existing recipes file and add a new recipe, but that would mean that other mods that add recipes without modloader wouldn't be able to be used together.

Jell-o, or jelly as you know it, are just names for gelatin. That's like saying Pepsi isn't proper cola because it's not called coca-cola. They're just names they go by. You can probably go in and change the name in the code.
