The Sword Art Online minecraft mod is a WIP mod that hopes to replicate the SAO anime on minecraft (obviously). We have more sword textures that we will add in soon. The crafting recipes are also experimental, as well as the statistics of the sword.

You can find our update schedule here. This is the main schedule we will be revolving around.

This will get updated as bug fixes are made and as updates go public. We have with-held some

of the planned updates for now, so other coders don't take our ideas.

What the mod will contain in the future:

1. Stats. The stats that we will have will be decided later. You will receive points per level for these. Under these will be (sub-stats). This ranges from Swords to Running. You level this up by doing/using this.

2. More Weapons and Armor, and variants of both.

3. More monsters

4. More Items, such as teleport crystals to Health Crystals.

5. (Only on the server) Multiple floors to explore and conquer. The number of floors hasn't been decided on.

Note: The mod will most likely conflict with other mods you may have installed. I would recommend you back up your jar file and world saves before using.

FAQ:

Q: When I start Minecraft, I get a blackscreen. Help!
A: This is probably because you are using 1.3.2, and this mod is only compatible with 1.3.1

Q: You should add this from the anime... This from the manga... This from the light novel...
A: We know. We read/watch the same stuff you do.

Q: How will you go about bosses?
A: As in all great MMOs, bosses can be handled how ever you want. There will be no restrictions. Bosses will have attack patterns and varied stats, but players should always have some chance to inflict damage on a boss. None will be made with such high health that they require more than 2 or 3 players to kill. Few bosses will drop unique loot, most will just have a better chance to drop higher tier loot.

Also, there are 3 different types of bosses:
-Dungeon Bosses: Spawn at the last room of a dungeon
-Field Bosses: Randomly spawn in mob fields

-Event Bosses: Spawned by administrators

Each category has bosses unique to its own category, but Dungeon and Field bosses can be spawned as event bosses as well.

Q: Could I help you code/texture?
A: Send me a PM and we'll consider it ;3

Q: When do you plan on finishing?
A: The mod will never be finished. We will advance into beta, once we decide alpha is complete. We will advance out of beta, once we decide beta is complete. The full version will always be expanding and updating.

Q: Will this mod be multiplayer?

A: We will host a server that players will be able to play the mod on. We will start the server once the mod has gone into beta, and will be looking for beta testers. All players will be able to join when the server is fully released.

Q: Will you have all 100 floors?
A: You high? Even if we did have enough money to buy a dedicated server that could host that much content, it would take years to build it all! We will probably stick to around 1 per world for now (5 worlds = 5 floors total, hopefully)

Q: Can I moderate/administrate the server once it comes out?
A: We will discuss this once we are actually at that stage.

Q: Why are you ripping off such a great anime? Why can't you just be original and come up with your own ideas?
A: We are just showing our love for the anime by making such an extensive mod, and want to share an experience close to it with all of it's fans. If you got a problem, don't play it.
