Notice: I will not be updating these to 1.2x as I am going to be retiring from modding. But don't fret! I am talking to people to make sure the mods live on. I have enjoyed helping the community and being part of something so addictingly fun. I will post links to direct people to the new modder/s once I get their go ahead. Again thank you for being supportive and useing these mods.

Update: Ironclad49er has agreed to take over you can find his page below. He already has put alot of work into an impressive elevator with tons of new features that you all have been asking for as I've been tracking his progress over the week I think you will enjoy it. He will also be updating sponges or me as well.

Update2: Eurymachus is now the new maintainer of the elevator mod you can find the download over at slimevoid.

u can go into options and click force update and try getting it again (force update will completly resorect all the .jar files)

Exanadu doesn't update this mod any longer, neither does ironclad49er. Seems he went MIA a while ago. A real shame because it's one of those mods you really miss. Hopefully someone knowledgeable in coding will take over the project, eventually.

It clearly states that its for Minecraft v1.1 and that I've handed the mod to another modder for updates to higher versions of Minecraft.  Learn to read.

I used this mod back in 1.8.1 when I was new to Minecraft. I used this mod with the car mod and elevator mod. Thank you Exanadu for introducing me to EPIC mods. Diamond for your mod, lad!

you won't need to worry about it much longer. I am talking with somebody who is going to make an improved version of the elevator, I am ready to retire from modding. Been doing it for a year now.  the new elevator will feature SMP, Wireless buttons, automatic floor control. combining of multiple elevators to possibly lift objects like a freight elevator. if they can finnish it before 1.2 comes out ill close this page and point everybody to the new elevator :)

Nice mod works smoothly. The only weird thing about it is that with the texture pack i use it for some reason caused some idems to appear weirdly. For example the brick to have small portals and fire about the size of a 1/4 of a block on each side. another is the diamond legs have a watch in them. Non of its a bad thing and is kind of ammusing

Ah I remember those problems while playing minecraft 1.8.1.  It usually occured if I tried to use MC Patcher + forge but once I used optifine + forge useing texture packs that problem went away. Or this can sometimes happen if you use alot of mods and run out of item sprites. Or if you install mods in the wrong order.  Lots of scenarios can cause this problem.  Usually requires installing fresh jar so if you attempt to fix it back up your .minecraft first.  I can't tell you how many times I've had to start over while testing mods lol.  But glad you like it :)

no need to add redstone wire when redpower adds those already plus there is a mod that adds vertical redstone dust.  I personally use about 20 mods to achieve the fun level I desire.

Ummm... I am having this problem with ALOT of mods, I follow the instructions perfectly (and make sure they don't need Modloader because my mac can't run it) and my Minecraft doesn't crash, It just doesn't recognize that the mod is THERE!

I have a mac and i use modloader modloadermp and audio mod and  i have no probs. So just install mod loader and i use a 09 macbook pro....

I don't want 5000 posts of the same question spamming up the page. I wan't people to be able to find answers to questions if they have trouble getting it to work.  Asking for mp over and over isn't gonna make it happen any faster.

the elevator does not carry nothing while redstone is applied,  the redstone feature is only to get your elevator to come back to you if you are on the wrong floor. to ride the elevator you have to right click the top or bottom block.

you have a block id conflict, check your other mods to see which ones are using the same as the elevator. elevator uses 254 and 255.  you can change it in elevatorOptions.cfg in your .minecraft/mods folder.  valid block id range is 124-255 pick ones not being used by another mod

no those do not conflict.  check toomanyitems to see if its listed at all. If you cant see the block in to many items make sure your using 1.1 modloader also.  its a very simple install putting the the zip in the mods folder there is no reason for it not to work.  try a fresh minecraft if its still not working might have a bad minecraft.jar and reinstall modloader and too many items.

if your getting a black screen check your modloader.txt file it will tell you what the conflict or problem is.
