The Doctor Who Client Mod features the worlds first full functioning T.A.R.D.I.S in Minecraft complete with being able to see the interior from the outside, Translocation System (travel on the same planet quickly), as well as the ability to travel to many planets and time eras through the Time Vortex!

Imagine a universe in which you are the 2100 year old Time Lord known as, The Doctor. Imagine You had the ability to travel to new planets, Now imagine that you weren't imagining this. You are The Doctor, you have a Type 40 T.A.R.D.I.S that you call Sexy, and you are able to travel to and explore an untold number of worlds, taking on quests to save those worlds in this exciting sandbox game with story elements built into Minecraft!

What does Sandbox/Story Gameplay Hybrid Mean?

The Doctor Who Client Mod gameplay is unlike anything you may have played in Minecraft in the past. The DWCM has what we have called a sandbox-story hybrid gameplay hybrid. What this means is that while the DWCM has a storyline incorporated with the gameplay it is in the background. It exists but you do not have to always participate in it, the gameplay you are used to with vanilla minecraft still exists, you can still build, mine and free roam. The story just adds another level to the game that adds an OPTIONAL way to enhance your gameplay. With the story comes actual cutscenes rendered in blender and maya as well as a narrative. Take a listen to what the cutscene animation that plays when creating a new game-save (map) will be like (or read it if that is your thing.)

This project is is currently in the Closed Alpha Development Stage, no Publicly available version has been released however we hope to be released to the public as soon as possible once a few more crucial systems are completed

The Doctor Who Client Mod is currently under heavy development in its Closed Alpha Development Phase which means that it has not been released for download to the public.

  • The TARDIS - One of the Most prominent features of the DWCM. The TARDIS is the Doctors main mode of transportation around the cosmos and through time. With a enormous" bigger on the inside" Dimensionally Transcendental interior the TARDIS is a great place to find hidden features and easter eggs as well as go on adventures and expeditions like they have never done in the show. The transition from the outside of the TARDIS into the interior is seemless and involves no loading screen or wait time it is instantaneous thanks to our World Manager system. You can actually see the interior from the outside and the exterior from the inside. The Doctor Who Client Mod is the first DW mod in minecraft to have a fully functional TARDIS.   • TARDIS Flight GUI - This is a unique system that acts as the interface to control the TARDIS in game. It acts as a hub of all the things you need to know to keep the TARDIS Functioning. Included in the functionality of the Flight GUI are displays for Rift & Artron Energy levels, Temporal Rift Location systems (places to refuel the TARDIS), Co-ordinate input for Translocational Travel (demat and remat from one place to another on the same planet.) You also have the ability to access the World Selection GUI directly from the TARDIS Flight GUI. You control direction with the mouse and height and speed with the WASD keys. TARDIS Flight in the GUI is identical to how you would control the player flying in creative mode. The GUI is activated through the console unite.   • Translocation [XYZ Coordinate Travel] - As mentioned above the TARDIS can also Translocate to specified coordinates through the TARDIS Flight GUI. This means that you can activate the Translocation menu through the TARDIS Flight GUI or the Console, once the menu is open you will then proceed to input your desired XYZ coordinates.   • Transcendental Dimensions (Bigger on the InsidePosted Image - The Doctor Who Client Mod is the very first Doctor Who minecraft mod to accomplish the task of a Bigger on the inside TARDIS. See the interior from the exterior and see the exterior from the interior, just like the show! The TARDIS Interior is loaded through the threshold of the TARDIS doors and transition between the two dimensions takes less than 1 millisecond.   • Sonic Screwdrivers & Sonic GUI - The Sonic Screwdriver will automatically identify what you are intending to power/active/use with the Sonic and will select it for you. You must then line up the selected icon and slide it into the center sphere to lock the screwdriver into the proper sonic frequency! Obviously if you do not align the icon with the center sphere the target correctly will not receive power or be activated! With the Sonic GUI comes our new 3D systems which will allow us to really enrich the user experience on our other GUIs like the World Selection GUI and TARDIS Flight GUI. Unless you have a serious problem with sight you would have noticed the 3D carousel and spinning and dipping of the icons. Again, it is hard to explain and you need to see it yourself!   • Original Story Line - The DWCM has a optional layer of storyline game-play. We wanted to go above and beyond what minecraft modifications have done in the past and with something such as Doctor Who there needs to be a goal for the Doctor to accomplish so we created a sandbox-story hybrid game-play experience. At the start of the game you will have a set amount of planets and time eras to travel to.   • Time Vortex - You cannot create something based on Doctor Who and not have the Time Vortex in there some way or another since it is what the TARDIS travels in time and space through. The DWCM Time Vortex is our own design of the vortex and it involves a mini-game style of usability. Basically you control the TARDIS direction with your mouse and try to avoid hitting temporal plasma clouds and entities that live in the Vortex, if you hit one you may be sent off course to a planet/time era you were not expecting to end up at. There are options for customizing the Time Vortex. Colors are defaulted at Murky Violet for Time Travel and Fiery Orange for Space Travel however you will be able customize the colors.   • World Selection GUI - The World Selection GUI is accessible from the monitors on the TARDIS Console, this system is used to select your destination you wish to travel to with the TARDIS. The Interface is an interactive map of the entire universe and of course a star chart of the universe must contain the Galaxies, Solar Systems and Planets contained in it. Once you select your destination through the GUI you will then dematerialize and entire the Time Vortex and rematerialized at the destination.     • Planets & Time Eras - The DWCM contains a vast range of Planets and Time eras that the player (as the Doctor) can travel to in the TARDIS.       • Solar Systems - Solar Systems in the DWCM contain several planets you can travel to such as the Adipose Breeding System or the Sol System.


  • Smart Entity System - This is our own type of AI that expands on the vanilla entity AI systems and allows our mob feature sets to be more complex.   • Regeneration - In the beginning of the DWCM storyline the Doctor regenerates into the 12th Doctor, while playing the game the player will have a amount of "Excess Regeneration Energy" that acts as a last chance system that will heal quite a bit of damage if both of the Time Lords hearts fails. The first regeneration system will be something akin to a Slot Machine, the player will have the chance to customize appearances quickly while the "lottery" is being drawn. The player will be able to customize the outfit of their Doctor through the Wardrobe system.   • Huon Particles & Swarms -In the Doctor Who Client Mod storyline the Doctors TARDIS' Huon particles have been infected with a previously unkown virus that causes the TARDIS to crash land on minecraftia and set the storylines chain of events into motion. The Huon Particles act in part with several of the TARDIS power systems. When the TARDIS transmatted the Memory Matrix Crystals across time and space Huons were transported with them and act as a detection system to find the crystals location.

  • Chameleon Circuit - When the TARDIS was brand new with a functioning chameleon circuit it could appear as almost anything. In the DWCM your Doctor partially repairs the circuit and can attempt to program the circuit to make it assume a specific shape. Occasionally the TARDIS will automatically select a shape from the large library of designs we have made for the the feature. At times the circuit will fail and you will either wind up with the default TARDIS appearance, malfunctioning police box designs or just flipping through designs randomly.   • TARDIS Key - What would the TARDIS be without a key to make sure your trusty ship is safe from the Daleks, Cybermen or the many species and people who want to get their hands on a the most powerful ship in the universe, even Winston Churchill. The TARDIS key in the Doctor Who Client Mod will act as a key obviously but it will also have the ability to act as a locator for the TARDIS in case you misplace it or the Hostile Action Displacement System causes it to relocate itself. In addition to those features the key will also be able to summon the TARDIS to your location TO A POINT. No, you will not be able to use the key as a get out of jail free card every time you land yourself in trouble with a hostile species or creature, that would remove all threat from the species. However if you have your portable Huon containment matrix filled up you will be able to combine the Key with the Huon Container and the TARDIS will materialize at your location.   • Total Menu Interface Overhaul - At this point we basically added so many levels to the gameplay of Minecraft that of course the game would need a whole new look for the main menu and eventually other menus.   • Addons & Downloadable Content - Doctor Who Client Mod as well as all iKingsSGC mod projects will have several different kinds of addons and DLC which the user can install from our reinvented main menu interface. Through the Addon and DLC system you will be able to install various modifications that have been made compatible with the Doctor Who Client Mod which will allow customization and a more unique experience for your adventures as the Doctor. Because of our re-write on how the game handles dimensions (planets/time eras) you will be able to add a compatible mod that adds dimensions and you will be able to travel to it through the TARDIS. In Addition to addons we will be creating content packs containing self contained story lines, adventures as past Doctors or even just new Doctor Who content that we have not incorporated into the mod by default. For example you can install a content pack that will allow you to add mobs that haven't been introduced into the main mod story for various reasons or you will be able to just simply download side missions either based on stories from the show or novels/graphics or even new adventures we created featuring past Doctors. If that was not enough we will also be including the option for users to submit their own DLC for review to be added to User Submitted tab in the DLC system.   • Modeled TARDIS Consoles - The Doctor Who Client Mod features several fully modeled Console units for your TARDIS Interior. Pick your favorite Console design and console room through the Architectural Reconfiguration System and apply it as your default . Choose a Desktop theme through the ARS (more information below) and you will have finishing building your own custom TARDIS Interior. Back on the topic of consoles, among the designs for the console you have tyo choose from we will have TARDIS Consoles from the classic series as well as from Modern Who in addition to our own custom console designs. Each side of the TARDIS Console controls a different feature including the World Selection GUI, TARDIS Flight (option to enable console controlled flight to fly with all 6 sections), Architectural Reconfiguration System, Memory Crystal Matrix (like a pokedex but cooler) and many other things.   • Archangel Communications Network - Based on the Archangel Network setup by The Master in the finale of season 3 (series 3) the DWCM contains a communication system that is linked to all iKingsSGC Resources. What this means is that while in game you can log onto the Archangel Network and communicate with anyone who is playing the Doctor Who Client Mod or who is logged onto the network on the iKingsSGC Forums or the iKingsSGC Hub (our custom client, info coming later in post.) We intent to introduce a complete companion system to compliment the Archangel Network to allow better interaction with your friends. Currently the system is in early testing stages and more features will be added as time goes on. Today I reveal the first of many amazing fully modeled TARDIS Console Rooms for the DWCM!

 
Whats
going on people of the Tau'ri welcome back to another Doctober treat.
Today's report is incredibly special and is something that I am so
excited for because it's just so freaking amazing. Words cannot describe
how excited I am to be able to finally make a video about the Doctor
Who Client Mod TARDIS Interior Console rooms.
 
In
this video I am showcasing the very first of the modeled console rooms
that will be used in the DWCM's TARDIS Interior for both the cutscenes
and in-game!
 
The very first console room to be modeled is the Coral Console room that was used by the 9th and 10th Doctors!
 
Right
so what you are seeing on screen right now is the are pictures of this
consoles creation from start to its current state, at the time of
recording this video the room was not finished, but maybe will be
when I edit! Please keep in mind that the coral console room may not be textured yet so you may see some smooth coloring.
 
So
the Coral Console Room came to be after I, out of the blue, decided to
recruit long time forum member [USER=6521]@Kyle Thompson[/USER] into the
Mod Division for 3D Modelling and Animation. We sat down for 7 or 8
hours that first night and worked together to figure out the perfect
structure, vertex amount, and overall look and feel of the console room
and the result of that time was absolutely phenomena.
 
One
of the things that we needed to do when we set out to actually do these
console room was setting ground rules. We needed to establish
guidelines and boundaries for ourselves to ensure that the console rooms
looked like they actually belonged in a blocky setting such as
Minecraft. This was very important for us and it took us a few hours to
figure out what would work best.
 
By
the end of the night we had a nearly complete console room. In the 5
days that have passed he's gone to a Disney park and came home and
immediately wanted to get back to work on the console room.
 
I
love bringing new people onto the team who are equally as passionate
and devoted to creating amazing content as I. For me, collaborating on
things like the models and soundtrack music with [USER=6521]@Kyle
Thompson[/USER]
[USER=6556]@Zachary
Anderson[/USER] respectively is a breath of fresh air and really does
get me even more excited for Doctor Who Client Mod.
 
This
is just the first of at least four more modeled console rooms we
currently have immediate plans to create. We are currently finishing up
the Coral Console room but after that is done we do plan on doing the
Copper Console (aka the first 11th Doctor Console room) and the Toyota
Console (the 2nd 11 console and current 12th Doctor console room.)
 
Lastly
as a side note, this week during my 3D Modelling and Animation class a
friend of mine brought in his Oculus Rift and for the first time I
experienced virtual reality the way its meant to be done. I bring this
up because he and I imported this Coral Console model into the Oculus
Rift and I was able to walk through the doors of the TARDIS  and look
around the console room. It was a one of a kind experience, something
that almost fulfilled a childhood dream of mine . I couldn't believe how
amazing everything looked and felt. Sadly the textures broke on the
import but that doesnt diminish from the fact that I actually was able
to look around this console room and experience that.

Whats going on people of the Tau'ri? Today I discuss the Doctor Who Client Mod soundtrack in detail for the first time!
 
So,
yes, DWCM soundtrack. This is not a topic I have really discussed alot
in the past. I don't think there really has been a video on it in over a
year and a half. Anyways lets get into it shall we.

DWCM Tracks Produced by TheiKing (Idea Man) & Zachary Anderson (The One with Musical Talent)
 
 
The
soundtrack for Doctor Who Client Mod is being produced by myself and
[USER=6556]@Zachary Anderson[/USER] and thus far sounds amazing. We have
produced several tracks already with a pretty big list of tracks
waiting production.
 
The soundtrack will be comprised of a combination of three different sets of tracks:
  • Original Compositions - Tracks created by us with only slight influence by existing works
  • Re-imaginative Compositions - These
    are tracks that are our own creations but borrow heavily on themes and
    motiffs of tracks from the show. These tracks are our way of taking what
    we love most about every era of Who music and incorpoating them into
    our own creative vision.
  • Recreations - Exactly what it
    sounds like. While we will not be doing too many pure recreations there
    will be some tracks that we just LOVE and need to incorporate into the
    DWCM soundtrack in some place. There will be cases which we will toy
    with the recreations and put our own unique spin on them.

Overall Tone of the Soundtrack:
  • The
    Doctor Who Client Mod literally starts off with the most depressing
    thing for the Doctor to experience, the apparent death of the TARDIS.
    This is why many of the tracks are geared towards grabbing the pent up
    sadness that is encapsulated by The Doctor. For the DWCM it is very
    important to me that our music grabs you and delivers a big emotional
    punch. I've always maintained that the music in Doctor Who is just as
    much a character as The Doctor, The Companion and the TARDIS which is
    why Zachary and I are doing our very best to give our tracks the
    "personality" that Murray Gold tracks have. Without the amazing score,
    Doctor Who would not be what it is. I feel the same thing goes for DWCM
    cutscenes.

 
  • Some of the
    things I wanted to see out of our tracks is a greater emphasis on a
    buildup of emotional gratification. Instead of just jumping directly
    into the action as alot of tracks in the show has done, we want to
    slowly build up to an emotional climax that really grabs you and carries
    you through to the very end. The scoring is a very important part in
    making dialogue that much more poignant.

 
  • That
    being said, we will have some amazing action based songs that
    incorporate elements of I am the Doctor, All the Strange Strange
    Creatures, The Doctors Theme Series 4, and some unreleased action tracks
    from season 8 as well as bringing in some amazing Torchwood and Sarah
    Jane Adventures inspired/based tracks. We don't want these to be pure
    recreations but rather an evolution of these tracks. Especially I am the
    Doctor, our arrangements will be very much different than the show yet
    still have the same essence.

 
  • The
    funny thing about some of our tracks is that they convey a sense of
    mystery. As if to say the the "show" itself doesn't know who our Doctor
    is. The 11th Doctor is still alive out there (pre-trenzalore) and
    travelling with Clara (for now), yet he is also dead and regenerated
    into our 12th Doctor. There is a air of suspicion in some of our tracks
    that may be a bit unsettling, which if it is we are doing our jobs
    right.

 
  • The last thing I
    want to discuss about the tone of the soundtrack is the way we want to
    convey The Doctors emotions. While our Doctor is a mystery to the
    viewer, he is still 100% the Doctor, a man who at this point in his life
    has lived 1,300 years. He has lost friends, family, and his whole
    species is locked a second out of sync with the rest of the universe.
    That creates a huge amount of emotional baggage. We want to capture what
    the Doctor is feeling at these emotional moments.

Preview of the Tracks we have completed:
While
we are working on dozens of tracks, each one takes several days to
complete from start to finish and as such I am only going to be
previewing about 3 or 4 tracks. We are currently working on some amazing
tracks that I am sure you are going to love but I hope that you enjoy
these ones just as much!
  • "The Breath of His Sorrow" -
    Re-imaginative Composition -This track was something that I had stuck
    in my head for a very long time now. To me this track embodies the
    emotions of all of the modern Doctors. Basically it takes two of my
    favorite tracks, The Doctors Theme & Sad Man with a Box and
    organically melds them together. This track not only samples those
    tracks in our own way but at the end you may notice that we have
    incorporated elements of the track from Deep Breath when 12 fell down
    before the credits. This bit of percussion suck with me and I think its a
    great way to say "HEY! We have not forgotten about Capaldi." You may
    notice there are some sharp bits in the track, this is to convey an
    eerie feeling complimenting the unknown nature of our Doctor. There will
    be a arrangment of this track that is way more uplifting.
    [USER=6556]@Zachary Anderson[/USER] and I must have spent over a week
    and a half getting everything just "right" and matching what I have had
    rattling in my head for ages.

 
  • "What Sort of Time" or "What Time Do you Call This"
    - Recreation Composition - This track is based on the original track
    "My Husbands Home" from season 7 part 1. I just loved this arrangement
    of I am the Doctors most emotional parts and I just needed it for Doctor
    Who Client Mod. We will be revisiting this track once we find a decent
    clapping instrument as that is one element of the original track that is
    sorely missed in our recreation. The name change from "My Husbands
    Home" to "What Sort of Time" is not entirely disingenuous. Our name for
    the track still reflects the Doctor and River's relation ship and
    references the season 5 finale when the Doctor gets onto the exploding
    TARDIS and he and river exchange the dialuge "Honey, I'm Home" and "What
    sort of time do you call this?!"

 
  • Safe Landing (Background Arrangement) -
    Recreation Composition - Based on the track "Safe Landing" this
    arrangement was designed to be used as background music on the
    StargateChannel videos. Safe Landing is one of my favorite arrangments
    of Mad Man with a Box, it first debuted in the 2012 Christmas special
    and it has stuck with me ever since. We will be doing separate full
    orchestral arrangement with vocals.

Will we be able to purchase the soundtrack?
At
this time I do not know if we will be offering the DWCM soundtrack for
purchase due to various copyright & legal reasons. Another reason I
am hesitant to offer the soundtrack is because there will undoubtedly be
people who will use it in their own videos without any credit. It is
something that we still have not come to a conclusion on. However if we
do ultimately decide to sell it, we do not have to be concerned about
the Minecraft EULA because our music does not rely on minecraft to
function.  Another thing that I have been considering is offering it as a
perk for patrons of a certain teir on our patreon campaign at www.patreon.iKingsSGC.com. This is definitely something that we have to think more about as we get closer to release.

Doctober - A Monthly Preview of Things to Come!

What is going on everyone, welcome to.....Doctober,
a month full of DWCM and SGC7 treats (and tricks.) OK, yes I fully
understand that putting a D in front October so it forms Doc-tober is a
very cheesy play on words but come on....this is Doctor Who. Puns are
par for the course.
 
Anyways,
October....ahhh my favorite time of year (not just because my birthday
is on the 24th and Halloween is a week after that.) So I figured why not
make it better and just go all out for the month of October with DWCM
& some Stargate Chevron 7 content.
 
This thread is dedicated to previewing just a tiny bit of what you MAY see during the Doctober festivities.
Now, keep in mind I am a full time college student once again and my
time is even more limited than it previous was. This does not effect my
ability to work on content, however due to various personal reasons
regarding my family it does hinder my ability to actively produce video
content. I fully intend to show everything listed below within the next
two weeks and more in the second half of "Doctober" along with our
annual Halloween events!

WHAT WILL WE SEE IN DOCTOBER?

The iKingsSGC Hub: The
Hub is currently undergoing the final stages of its initial
development. Rebuilt entirely from scratch on another programming
language and given a totally new design the new iKingsSGC Hub functions
just as amazing as it looks!
 
DWCM Soundtrack: Over
the past several weeks our very own [USER=6556]@Zachary Anderson[/USER]
(newly official Mod Divison team member) and I have been hard at work
nailing down exactly what tone we want for the Doctor Who Client Mod
soundtrack, at least for the cutscenes. You might hear some of these
tracks in the upcoming videos during Doctober but for now I think I
might just give a taste during this teaser video. I cannot go into
details about it but I can say that it combines the best elements of the
RTD, Smith/Capaldi/Moffat Era music
and we
put our own spin on it. We want the music in the DWCM to pack an
emotional punch. Starting off we are creating some mysterious, haunting
tracks based around the Doctor.
 
New Technology: Tons of new technology is coming! I tried to find things to put into the graphic that didn't give too much away.
 
The Doctors: Every
Doctor ever portrayed within canon will make an apperance during
Doctober. It is his month after all! The textures are not final as they
are still being revised thanks to a certain forum member for giving DWCM
exclusive rights to these skins to base ours on, huge time saver! We
may make a official Mod Division team member out of you yet!
 
TARDIS Maya Models (What are they for?) - Well,
I can't exactly say so.....lets just let you ponder. All I can tell you
is to LOOK very carefully at the post graphics once the thread comes a
rollin out.  [USER=7846]@Nicko4472[/USER] I am sure we will have a nice
laugh about the speculation on skype@
 
More Sonic Devices: Yes!
Everyone loves new sonic devices. Noone has the same tastes so it is
very important for us to offer as many choices as possible to give you.
If you feel like modeling some sonics to submit & see if you can get
them in game BY ALL MEANS DO SO!
 
New Grim Content: Well....its October, The Grim is a Halloween themed planet...do the math!
 
Random Halloween Themed Content: Does
this one really need to be explained? Its October, I love halloween, we
are creative people. Stuff like Tim Burton inspired Sonics can pop
up....anything that strikes our fancy that we feel could be a beneficial
addition!
 
DWCM Wallpapers: With a new DWCM logo comes a new official wallpaper, this time I will keep them coming as time goes on.
 
Later in the Month:
  • Halloween Forums: Not until later in the month, don't want to do it too soon...would get sick of it by Halloween!

 
  • Possible Steam Events: Possibly play Left for Dead, Team Fortress 2 and others, cant wait to see what halloween DLC they put up this year.

MUCH MORE, TOO TIRED TO ACTUALLY MAKE GRAPHICS FOR THEM! (Which is also the reason the video doesn't have fancy graphics for everything here!)

In this Sonic Screwdriver update video I blow up mountains made of glass and light a torch that accidentally set the forest on fire!
 
People
of the Tau'ri, have you ever wanted to be able to use the sonic to
destroy large amounts of glass all at once or light a torch or even a
fire? Well get ready because this latest update to the Sonic Screwdriver
and Sonic GUI makes your dreams come true.
 
We
all know that modern Sonic Screwdrivers typically have three standard
frequency strengths. We have the low frequency which is used for things
like medical scans and low level functions. We then have the standard
frequency which has been used from hacking into computers to opening
doors and lighting a flame ...or used as a flashlight. But then we have
the High Frequency mode which totally melts down computers, door locks
and other things that generally end with sparks flying when being
soniced.
 
We
knew when we set out to improve the sonic screwdriver that we would be
needing these extra frequency modes. It was always something we planned
on doing but it was only until recently that Emir and I were working on
some of the new sonic features that we came up with a simple way to
execute frequencies.
 
Today
I am explaining how the High Frequency mode is activated on the sonic
screwdrivers. Basically you activate the Sonic Screwdriver and Sonic GUI
like you normally would by right clicking when you are targeting
whatever you want to sonic. At any time that the Sonic GUI is active all
you have to do is left click and High Frequency Mode will kick in.
 
Another
thing you may notice in this video is that when High Frequency mode is
engaged the Mark VI and VII sonics will extend much like they would in
the show. Currently all sonics can engage High frequencies but in the
future only more modern sonics will have this capability.
 
As
of right when I am writing this thread only the High Frequency glass
shatter is implemented but I hope that by the time I get to recording
the video we will have several other high frequency activations
implemented but no guarantees as we are hard at work on other features
as well.
 
As
with the standard frequency glass shatter there are protections put in
place to prevent griefing on a multiplayer environment!

Today, another Sonic Screwdriver update! This time things could get a bit....messy!

 
People
of the Tau'ri,What's clear hard and breaks if you hit the right sonic
frequency? If you guessed glass you would of course be correct.
 
Today
I am showing off a new feature to the Sonic Screwdriver that allows you
to yes, shatter glass. As with the torch update this is of course
another simple concept but with a little more forethought put in to be
sure this wouldn't be abused on multiplayer servers. So yes, as with all
other things activated through the Sonic GUI you just point and right
click to activate the sonic and the glass will break.
 
Back
to my point about protecting servers. While on Single Player you can
use the sonic to destroy glass but if you are in multiplayer you will be
unable to Sonic glass unless you are either an op or in creative mode.
 
There
is another additional function we introduced with this update that
allows you to any glass blocks within the Sonic Screwdrivers target
range. This is done with the High Power Frequency mode which I will
discuss in the next video!

of the Tau'ri, welcome back to the time of frequent iKings Daily
Reports which will hopefully be bi-daily depending on how many I can
record. Today I am showing off a new update to the Sonic Screwdriver
that allows you to ignite and squelch the flames of a torch.

The
concept is simple enough and as such the application is just as simple.
Simply activate the Sonic GuI by right clicking with any sonic device
in hand. Just don't activate the High Power Frequency mode, you may
singe your eyebrows or burn your banana farm down. (More info about High
Power Frequency mode to come in the next few videos!)

Today to celebrate season 8 I preview Doctor Who Client Mod on minecraft 1.7.2 and a tale of jelly baby robots.
 
Whats
goinn on people of the Tau'ri, as it was foretold in the cold open of
this video I will be showing you all a preview of Doctor Who Client Mod
on 1.7.2. Since many things have changed since the 1.2.5 version &
even since I recorded this video most of this video will be without me
talking. I know, thank god you don't have to hear me talk right?
 
Anyways
before I stop my yammering let me briefly explain that the things you
will be seeing in this preview  is not all of the content that has been
updated and added just what I can show you in a short preview. A more
indepth update showcase will come soon.

So yes, over the past month and a half we have been very busy on the Doctor Who Client Mods massive update to 1.7.2 which means that there hasn't really been time/content to update you guys on everything thats been happening regularly. Today Dracula is out for the blood of the Tau'ri and the Easterlings debut!

 
Another
Day, Another model showcase! You all know the way these videos are
done. I pick three or four models and show them off in a 360 view for
you all to see before they are added in game! Today's theme involves new
spins on mythical or legendary creatures that can be found on the
System of Legends in the Doctor Who Client Mod.

 
Introducing the Following Models:

The Easterlings -
One of my favorites from the Easter Design Contest, the Easterlings are
a species of bipeds inhabiting as of yet unnamed easter planet. They
look similar to the lagomorph species (bunnies) from the Planet Earth.
These creatures are about as friendly as can be. In fact I am fighting
the urge to change their name to the Furlings so these can be the
missing 5th race from Stargate!

 
Dracula - Based
on the classic depictions of Dracula. Dracula was a scientist on the
planet of The Grim who experimented on himself and his own people to
satisfy his need for immortality and as this tale usually goes d up creating his own species. This species is more commonly known as vampires in Earth lore. To the rest of the universe they are known as the Draculans.

Whats
going on people of the TAURI, today I am going to be giving an update
about the Transcendental Dimensional Window system also known as Bigger
on the Inside!
 
Transcendental Dimensional Window (Bigger on the Inside) - The Doctor Who Client Mod is the very first Doctor Who minecraft mod to accomplish the task of a Bigger on the inside TARDIS.
 
See the interior from the exterior and see the exterior from the interior, just like the show!
 
The
TARDIS Interior dimension is loaded through the threshold of the TARDIS
doors and transition between the two dimensions takes less than 1
millisecond. Yes, there are still a few kinks to work out but it will
soon function exactly as it does in the show very soon! This system will
only improve from its current state.
 
While
this system is primarily b eing promoted as Bigger on the Inside the
reality is that this system is much more than what it appears. We are
the first modders of minecraft to create a system that allows for
inter-dimensional view rendering meaning that we can create what we call
Dimensional Windows and have it display any dimension that is in the
game. So while right now we are promoting this system as Transcendental
Dimensions, we will likely utilize the system in other systems in the
future.
 
DISCLAIMER:
As there are two versions of the DWCM there are two versions of this
system. The Alpha version of DWCM (1.2.5) has issues with the way the
Transcendental Dimensional Window is rendered but that issue has been
fixed in the Beta Version which will be released on 1.5.2/1.7.2.

Whats
going on people of the Tau'ri today I am going to be living in a Yellow
Time Machine and showcasing two TARDIS Exterior Models that I am really
excited about while I am at it!

So yes, my power was out for a
week meaning that this video that was slated to have 6 TARDIS Exterior
Models is being made with only two to show as I did not have the
oppurtunity to finish the others.

But if I am going to be showing two TARDIS Exteriors at least they are two Exteriors that I am really excited about.

Introducing
the Yellow Time Machine, a parody of the Beatles Yellow Submarine as
well as the Victorian Police Box which is a ....police box....from the
Victorian Era, pretty straight forward.

These have already been
added in game however the recent version has not been pushed yet so for
now I hope you enjoyed this model showcase.

Whats
going on people of the Tau'ri today I am going to be introducing the
Zenith Sonic Screwdriver, the official sonic of the Doctor Who Client
Mod.

The Zenith Sonic Screwdriver is the primary sonic that will
be wielded by the Doctor Who Client Mod's 12th Doctor once the player as
the Doctor builds it. As sonic of our very own creation the Zenith
Sonic Screwdriver combines our favorite elements of both Classic series
sonic screwdrivers and modern series sonics and blends them together to
form the ultimate sonic screwdriver in both design and functionality.
With a cool/calm color scheme of metallic silver and midnight blue the
Zenith Screwdriver highlights brings a sophistication and unique look
all new Doctors sonics should have. The word zenith refers to the
highest point in the nights sky. I chose this name to reflect the fact
that this will be the Ultimate Sonic Screwdriver being more powerful
than any of the marks that came previously.

More information
about the Zenith Sonic will come soon, for now I hope you enjoyed this
model showcase. By the time you see this video It will probably be added
in game already.

Whats going on people of the Tau'ri, Today I am going to be showcasing several models related to the TARDIS.

Continuing
my series of showing off models before they are added to the game I am
here today to showcase some models related to the TARDIS interior. In
this video they are mostly modeled blocks but in future interior
showcases there will also be some cool TARDIS Related 3D items and then
some more TARDIS Exteriors!

Bluecube Joins Mod Division, Brings Sexy Models!- #DWCM #iMine4WHO

Today
in this Not So Daily Report I am here to announce that Voxel Doctor and
Doctor Who Client Mod are teaming up to bring you the ultimate
MineWhoniverse!

So yes, Bluecube the creator of Voxel Doctor is
joining the Mod Division as a part time modeler where he will be
contributing both Voxel Doctor content and models created solely for the
Doctor Who Client Mod.

Over the last month and a half Bluecube
and I have been discussing various things about Voxel Doctor and DWCM.
Initially Bluecube was just going to cease development on Voxel Doctor
and join Mod Division full time and many Voxel Doctor Models would be
absorbed into the DWCM. Eventually as we talked more it became clear
that Blue wanted more time to perfect his programming abilities before
jumping into the massive scope of DWCM features. Ultimately we decided
that for the time being it would be amazing for both mods to coexist in a
state of blissful cooperation and peace  under the Mod Division banner
which ultimately makes the community experience better overall.

Because
Voxel Doctor is a learning experience for Blue it will continue to be
supported until he feels the mod has become sufficient. During this time
certain Voxel Doctor content will be added into the DWCM around the
same time it is added into VD.

In addition to adding VD content
to DWCM, Bluecube, under his new title of Mod Division Modeler will
be  modeling new exclusive DWCM content that will not be able to be
found in Voxel Doctor.

The first things that will be contributed
to the DWCM will be the amazing Classic Console and 2013 console from VD
which I have been showing in the background of this video.

Another
really cool thing I am excited to announce is that Blueclube will be
creating a series of Voxel Doctor Addons and DLC once the DWCM is out
and the DLC system is functional so even if  his mod wraps up the work
will not go to waste and people will still be able to play that content
within DWCM.

Bluecube has an eye for detail and his models show
the accuracy and care that we in the Mod Division always strive for and
when we first connected and discussed him joining the Mod Division I
knew that he would do excellent work and I am excited to welcome him and
Voxel Doctor into the land of the Mod Division and the iKingsSGC.

going on everyone in this Daily Report Release Preview I am going to
show off the all new World Selection GUI's Time Era Menu.

As
you know as we gear up for our release phase I have been redoing the
look of some of our existing content. The new Time Era Menu works in the
same way as the previous one had however the new one has an all new
appearance.

I wanted the new Time Era Menu to feel like one of
those super dated devices with tiny monitors with a bunch of unused
buttons seen in many scifi shows. So up top we have the ViewPort which
is used to give the player a preview of the planet or time era they wish
to travel to.

To the right side we have the menu where you select the subworlds or time eras of that planet.
And
at the bottom we have teh dematerialize button which of course begins
the materialization process and puts you in transit towards your
destination through the Time Vortex.

Continuing my efforts to
unify the design aesthetic of the Mod Division projects the new menu
contains a whole new look similar to what you would find on the
iKingsSGC Forums or The Hub.

Whats going on everyone in this Daily Report Release Preview I am going to show off the re-textures of the vanilla Minecraft UI.

As
you know as we gear up for our release phase I have been putting the
finishing touches on the temperance of the game. It had always been my
intention to redesign the vanilla GUIs for improved functionality but
due to time constraints for the first version I simply created my take
on the vanilla guis and unified their design with the overall aesthetic
style of the rest of the Doctor Who Client Mod.

we are gearing up for our closed alpha and public alpha phases I
decided to freshen up and improve our existing content. What you are
seeing right now is the all new Time Vortex lightning. I believe that
adding in more realistic lightning drastically changes the overall look
and feel of the Vortex. Personally I am quite pleased with it.

Today we are going to be discussing some of the Mod Division Utilities that we are making open source!

Before
we get into the video topic please know that this thread was written by
@[USER=7795]Giraffestock[/USER] with minor edits by myself
@[USER=1]TheiKing[/USER].

During the long and hard transition to
1.5.2, which you can read about on the iKingsSGC Forums, the core Mod
Division team working on the Doctor Who Client Mod
@[USER=7795]Giraffestock[/USER] @[USER=1]TheiKing[/USER] and
@[USER=131]yofreke[/USER] have been discussing continuously what we plan
to do with what we have in terms of code. An API has always been
planned and is being worked on in order for the DWCM to support
Downloadable Content and Addons.

Currently, we have decided to
release certain Mod Division utilities in the hopes to help the over all
minecraft modding community. What this means is that some of our unique
utilities will now be open-source for all developers to use, modify,
and play with to their hearts delight.

  • Command Center


The
command center is a GUI for our debug console. It allows us to spawn
mobs, change the time, pause the game, reload, etc. with the click of a
button. The command center and the console are the same thing in terms
of code with a different look. They are in sync with each other. It
currently has a fairly basic look however we hope to customize it
further in the future.

  • MD Dev Console


The
console has more functionality then the command center but is text
based. You type in a command, such as 'time day' and the time will be
changed. It supports specific parameters and advanced options. An
example of specific parameters is for spawning mobs. You can say 'spawn
cow 33 23 1 1 1' which will spawn 33 cows with 23 health at the
coordinates 1,1,1. Commands are automatically added to both the Command
Center and Console and are easy to write. You can find examples of
commands on the Git repository. I need to point out that this was before
Mojang had added a similar system to the vanilla game itself however
this is much more advanced and capable of things that the vanilla
console system is not. In addition to the standard time and spawn stuff
that you are all accustomed to the MD Console can be used to spawn
schematics into your world among other cool features.

  • Model Viewer


The
Model Viewer is an extension to the Command Center. You may have seen
it in some videos; it renders models from the game in a 3D gui for
viewing your models in game. It supports any models, whether they are
for items, blocks, entities, etc. You can also render it inside custom
GUI's for customization. Please understand that as the Model Viewer
evolves into the In Game Modeler that aspect may not be bundled in as
part of this open source package.

Doctor Who Client Mod [Massive Update]



What do you get when you combine Doctor Who Client Mod files with a recent version of Minecraft? An update of epic proportions.

Yupthat is right Doctor Who Client Mod is being brought out of the stone
age of Minecraft and being updated to Minecraft 1.5.2. Once the 1.5.2
update is completed we will then update to 1.6.4 where the Doctor Who
Client Mod will stay for the foreseeable future. Essentially the only
reason we are updating to a recent version at all is due to what forge
can offer us that cannot be done in 1.2.5. It is something we have
always planned to do and now wer are finally doing it. Regardless of how
infuriatingly inconvenient it is for me to have to keep track of
thousands of individual texture files as opposed to our nice little
texture maps it needed to be done to smooth performance on several of
our major systems as well as to allow us to complete the remaining
things that need to be done in order to begin our closed alpha testing.

There
are two reasons that there have not been any Daily Reports the last
week and a half and that is partially because I was not feeling well and
I could barely talk and mostly because the update is consuming most of
everyone's time.

The interesting thing about our  update process
is that because of the way we have written the code moving the major
features from version to version is a relatively simple process and we
are neck deep in that updating. It is simple but it does take time to
make sure everything works error free so please be bear with us during
this transitional period.

I will likely be doing several model
showcases over the next few weeks or something other than our regular
feature showcases due to the fact that no new content is being added in
game until after the Update is completed.

So yeah I sorta rambled
in this video because I still am not feeling that great and I need to
rush this recording before people get home and frankly its snowing so
hard I think that the power may go out. I will likely release a more
indepth video sometime in the future but for now please like subscribe

Alright. You don't get it you guys. THIS UPDATE IS MY DESTINY. I have always wanted to make Halloween stuff for a mod. Halloween is my life. Doctor Who is my LIFE. I CAN DO THIS.
XD I have SO many ideas for this specifically, as well as the modeling and texturing talent to make them happen. If I get the proper dimensions of the Tardis, and the things I need, I will make top-Notch stuff. 
This is literally everything I've ever dreamed to do in terms of modmaking. I will not fail. Lol. Is there any way I could contact you with Models and Ideas?

It hasn't been a week. It's been 4 weeks, and right now he doesn't have anything recorded therefore he's not posting daily updates until he gets something recorded and he only records when he's alone at his house when the rest of the people there are gone for no distraction, and he hasn't been left alone for a while.

@Turabi333 you are correct, I can only record when I am alone and lately that has not happened often as college has started and family is always around when I am home haha.

Regardless of that, there are still a ton of things being done behind the scenes. While there have been no "Daily" Reports in  a while, I have been on the iKingsSGC Forums keeping people informed....not as well as the reports do but just to let people know there are things going on.

PMC, MCF and StargateChannel are not where the most up to date information is posted. the iKingsSGC Forums is where you should go if you want to be keep in the loop :)

Because its a WIP mod and TheIKing doesnt want us to get mad at it because features are missing or there are tons of bugs.

Lol, The TARDIS in teh DWCM is 100% proportional to the players avatar and is scaled completely correct.

It is in fact the perfect height in relation to the minecraft bipedal model, it does not need to be taller because then that would be inaccurate and we would have a TARDIS scale that is completely out of whack with the player.
