(The most recent update for this map was made to work with Minecraft version 1.6. Higher versions should work but have not been tested.)
Playable on singleplayer and multiplayer, but the map will be more fun with two or more players.
Complete with new types of puzzles, a fully functional battle arena, eight zones, and command block run quests and features.
Its been tested multiple times and all the glitches were fixed before launch. If a part seems broken, make sure command blocks are enabled, and if you're still having trouble, try thinking in a different way.
It took me nearly 2 hours to beat it myself, and an average of over 3 for a regular player.
There is some parkour, but it is very short, and not that difficult.
Feedback is very appreciated.
Hope you all enjoy this!

Additional Notes

If you get to a certain area that just seems impossible, here is awalkthrough:

Forest Island
You need three levers on thechiseledstone brick to drop the sand. One is on the ground, behind a tree, one is on the top of a tree, one is in the cave (you will need to use a lever here, but you will get it back along with a ladder. Use the ladders in the cave to reach a higher ledge and grab the final lever.)

Desert Island
Once again, you will need all the levers to enter the pyramid. You can find the first one in a small 'cave' on the second desert island. Next, climb the cliff and you'll find another larger cave. There is a spot for the redstone torch. Placing it will open a hidden passage later on. You can also jump over to a second ledge where you'll find another lever. Finally, go back to the smaller cave. The torch will have opened a small wooded platform leading to a chest. Once you have all three levers, place them all next to each other on the right side of the pyramid (next to the existing lever.) Solve the maze inside the pyramid, then answer the simple question beneath it. In the final puzzle you must place 4 levers on the lamps (lighting them all) and another on a marked block by the ladders. Bridge the gap with the wood you get, then continue to the next island.

Snow Island
You will start with an emerald, but you need a total of three to trade with the villager. The first is in the small ravine, and the second is in an ice hill. You can access the ice hill by punching the snow layer on the left of the hill.Acquirethe flint and steel, punch a hole in the snow layer by the ice lake, and melt the ice. After you get the sand andsulfur, you can craft TNT and light it in the cave (where the sign tells you.) Explore the emerald caves, get the sticks at the end, craft them into ladders, then climb onto the jungle island.

Jungle Island
Using the bows, hit all three buttons on the next jungle island, then jump onto the extended platform from the top of the trees. It is possible to make the jump without using the buttons, but it is incredibly hard. Climb to the top of the trees again, and walk across the bridge to the third jungle island. There is a minecart hidden in one of the trees and a wall of levers on the edge of the island. Pull all the levers, fight the dungeon that opens, and use the ladder to climb back out. Go back to the second jungle island, and use the redstone ore to open the passage (it will tell you where.) Place the minecart on the rails and run it down the track, but don't ride it. Another passage will open which will allow you to climb across vines and swim up water on the underside of the island. There is a lever at the end. Use that lever along with the lever from the dungeon on the fourth jungle island to open the door.

Nether Island
Make sure to sleep before you enter this island! For starters, grab the book and lever in the obsidian ruin, and jump into pit near the start of the island. Place the lever on the netherbrick, go down the caves that open, and get the potion at the end. Swim down the lava cauldron, and get the flint and steel. Ignite the obsidian ruin to open the portal. This part is pretty much straight forward. Go across the ruined stone bridge, activate the beacon, enter the beam, then fight off the waves of mobs.

Village Island
The villagers will give you various quests, and you must help with them both. In then end, craft a map, then dig where you see the X (you can get a shovel in one of the houses.) Search the stronghold for loot like swords and armor, then enter the iron door with the warning. The creeper caves involve quick reflexes. Run into the temple, grab the lever (and map if you want) then place the lever on the lamp on the wall. Go along the ledge and avoid the creeper ambushes. At the end, you will get enderpearls which you can use to teleport onto a second smaller temple far above. You can then brew a fire resistance potion, swim across the lava lakes (the one on the left when you're facing out from the temple.) Make sure not to jump straight into the lava, since you will fall into the void. Everything else is extremely simple, and no walkthrough is needed.

Mountain Island
The final island. The concept is simple enough, so I don't think any real walkthrough is needed. Just mine the coal and iron ores until you can make your iron pick, then mine as many emeralds as you can find. Trade for armor and weapons, then enter the abandoned mine. Find all three diamonds, make your diamond pick, then break into the volcano. Stand on the portal block and press the button.
Hope you had fun!

Best Adventure Map Ever. I thought it was just going to be a few small islands. And then! Nether Level, An Arena? Mining? Villages???? Best One Ever. If you ever make a sequel, kudos.

Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed it! I don't plan on making a sequel at the moment, but I do plan on adding new stuff with each new update of Minecraft. By the way, did you ever find the Island of Illusion?

Island of Illusion? Do you mean the last one? I got to the Mycelium one, and then a nether one, with invisible pathways.

Yep, that was it. It should have told you it was the 'Island of Illusion' when you opened the chest, but it really doesn't matter. That was a bonus adventure anyways.
