30 years ago, on February the 22th of 1987, the A320 made its first flight, bringing a new narrow body, medium range aircraft to Airbus's product lineup. The A320 took off with many revolutionary technologies and features including a fly by wire control system, and a glass cockpit.

Since then, the Airbus A320 became one of the most popular narrow body twinjet airliner around the world along with the classic Boeing 737. Together, these two iconic airliners became the mainstay of the short to medium haul fleet of many airlines.

The A320 is renowned for its reliability and efficiency for over quarter of a century, it truly is a workhorse of airliners. With lower per seat mile operating costs for medium to short haul flights, the A320 have made air travel more accessible than ever before.

As of today, a total of 7,157 Airbus A320s and its derivative models are in service with airlines worldwide.

To commemorate the 30th anniversary of this remarkable airliner's maiden flight , I have recreated the first A320 to ever take to the skies (Registration F-WWDC) in Minecraft with its original house livery, accurately built to 1.5:1 scale.
