The BEHEMOTH Mob Trap6000+ items per hour / spider efficient / semi-auto wool extraction

Features:

produces all available mob drops! (except green records)
feathers, bones, arrows, sulphur, string, wool, pork, leather, eggs, even the occasional slime ball and ink sack

day mob trap and dual grinder with semi-automatic sheep wool extraction

new water channel method effective at keeping mobs moving, even spiders

4 cactus/lava spider drop efficient grinders as seen on EpicRealms

trap resides in a 9x9 chunk (144x144x128 blocks) to isolate spawning in trap for maximum efficiency

built on Map11 seed (a good one)

Overkill
Yes, it's a bit much! At 6000 items/hr it will produce more items than you'd ever need in Single Player and you'd be hard pressed to find a multiplayer server that would let you import or build a trap this size. I have seen 5K traps on SMP's before, it can be done but, gets a little laggy, and most servers just don't want players to have access to unlimited gun powder. This project is mainly proof of concept. If your looking for a compact and efficient mob trap, try the Lil Behemoth Mob Tower 1500 items/hr

I had not tested the output since I put the spider efficient grinders in the night mob trap. Anticipating it may have knocked the output down from 5000 items/hr, I was was pretty stoked to find out it was clipping along at 6000 items/hr!!! Success!

I also added a MC Map Live image :)

Yep, still works. The non-hostile mob farm is a bit unnecessary now seeing as how sheep drops wool from a fall now.

Make sure you unzip the file then put the contents in your save folder. Beyond that, you'll have to use your google-fu :)

Just under the youtube video and the slideshow there's a yellow box that says "Minecraft World Save" click that that and it will take you to the download. then just drag the downloaded file into your Minecraft saves.

It's got a pretty rad string of mountains and craters balanced out by flatter places for building. I think it's pretty good, good not great at least
