Also this will help me for making a water lock I wanted to make. Because I want some big doors made of small doors. Now can you figure out how to make an elevator I have been trying for 12 days now. I can make an elevator go up but it wont go down.

I made an elevator, but indeed going down is a pain in the ass with pistons, but to power them in the correct order I used some sort of memory-cell which makes is it a lot easier to move the pistons in the correct order.

On-topic: It is indeed very compact, only you could go one less deep by placing a torch on the side of a block. But the part above ground is indeed quit clever, at first when I saw it I feared that the two on top would react slower than the bottom one. But they all three seem to move at once.

I made a door 15 blocks high. Then it evolved into a trap where you go in a hallway and these doors close then the walls open up to lava. The issue is the pisons do not go back down after they are moved up.

For me even a piston that is off on top of another piston will go up then stay there.

Now you make me want to do a tutorial of how to make a piston spiral staircase I made.

Is it possible to make this so that it can be opened and closed from either side with levers instead of pressure plates? I tried replacing the plates with levers but once one side is toggled, the other side has no effect on the door.
