TheCodeMonk from Fumble Brothers has built an elevator using Tekkit Minecraft once before with just redstonewiring. Now we've moved on to something a little more advanced, ComputerCraft. Here is where you can download the world that contains the building that was used in the video, along with the elevator built inside. It is possible to make this in regular Minecraft, but with mods; Redpower, Railcraft, and ComputerCraft. Both are included in Tekkit, however.

Also you mayseparablydownload just the code for the computer here:

No prob! I tried to figure out ComputerCraft, but I couldn't actually do anything because I'm terrible at it. So I made a turtle and tried to remote control it, but then it didn't work so I just programmed it directly into the turtle and dug a tunnel.

Oh yeah it can get pretty complicated if you don't have a programming background. The Turtles are even a little complicated to program sometimes.

Yeah. I can do Processing and Python and a bit of what I remember from Turtle, but I've never really done anything with Lua.
