Cube Survival - Cubes'
You want to start a new survival map and the default Minecraft is too boring for you?
Then this is perfect for you - Cubes'. A small survival map where you have to
survive in a cube and achieve some challenges.
You can choose between 2 maps, Cubes' or More Cubes

Map #1 - Cubes'

Rules & Goals - Cubes

Rules - Cubes'

  • Do not use cheats. (like Xray, TooManyItems, etc.)
  • Play on normal or hard.
  • Do not break the glass, play in the cube.


Survival Goals - Cubes'

  • Collect some wood
  • Craft some torches
  • Make a little farm for wheat and sugar canes
  • Find and mine Coal, Iron, Gold, LapisLazuli, Redstone and Diamonds.
  • Find and mine one Emerald
  • Mine clay
  • Find the dungeon
  • Beat the Silverfish horde
  • Craft an item using diamonds
  • Build a house
  • Plant some trees
  • Make a mushroom stew



Map #2 - More Cubes

  • 5 Survival Cubes (Normal -, Ocean -, Jungle -, Mushroom -, Nether Cube)

Rules & Goals - More Cubes

Rules - More Cubes

  • Do not use cheats. (like Xray, TooManyItems, etc.)
  • Play on normal or hard.
  • You are allowed to break the cubes.
  • Do not visit the Nether/End (nothing there).

Survival Goals - More Cubes

  • Collect some wood
  • Craft some torches
  • Make a little farm for wheat, melons and sugar canes
  • Find coco beans and make some cookies
  • Find and mine Coal, Iron, Gold, LapisLazuli, Redstone and Diamons.
  • Find the sunken treasure
  • Find all 3 Emeralds
  • Mine clay
  • Find the dungeon
  • Craft an item using diamonds
  • Build a house
  • Plant some trees (Make sure there is enough place above them!)
  • Make at least one mushroom stew
  • Mine Glowstone
  • Brew some potions
  • Enchant an item
  • Find 2 hidden chests in the Nether Cube



Map #3 - PvP Cubes

Rules & Goals - PvP Cubes

Rules - PvP Cubes

  • Play this on a Server with 2+ Players.
  • Do not use cheats. (like Xray, TooManyItems, etc.)
  • Do not visit the Nether/End (nothing there).
  • You are allowed to make teams.


  • You are allowed to break the cubes.*
  • After each Player is in his Cube you are not allowed to leave it for X minutes.
  • *After X minutes you can leave/destroy the Cubes and attack other Players.

Note: X is up to you.

Goals - PvP Cubes

  • Choose your Cube
  • Survive as long as you can and kill other Players..
  • Actually there aren't really goals, just enjoy the PvP :)

Optimal:

  • Set a new spawn with a bed.

There are only some changes, no new content.
*(Enabled keepInventory)

I actually give this up, because of a Minecraft spawn bug.
(Read here more if you want)

So that means that the spawn is broken and you wont spawn in/on the Cube,
only sometimes if you are lucky.

I try to improve the map or maybe adding a book with a story and so, not sure yet ;)

I'm having an issue where the world spawns in on my server as a giant flatland but in single player seems to load in just fine o.o

It may be that the game generator is trying to place your 'character' and, only finding glass near the 'spawn point' it searches further and further until it locates a large enough patch of land to spawn on.


My guess is that Nefashus made the map on a flatland seed, and what you are seeing is chunks he never created, but would have if he had gone to the coordinates you spawned in. The cubes are probably located nearby, look for a big, empty space and somewhere in the middle of that should be the cubes.

Hi Nefashus

I have just finished playing your cubes and more cubes and have made my own version inspired by it and i was wondering if you wanted to take the map and publish it with your own finishing touches or if i could publish it on my channel, i have a total of 10 cubes that are based on the vanilla minecraft.

These Include

Main Cube - Basic tools to get to the other cubes.
Nether Cube - With Portal to the true nether.
Desert Cube - With Pyramid and chest with pharaohs buried treasures.
Jungle Cube - With pack of wolves.
Village Cube - with buildings based on the spawned villages found in vanilla minecraft.
Farm Cube - My little sister had the idea to have a farm with a small pen for cows pigs and chickens.
Ender Cube - With portal base to true nether within and Obsidian tower with redstone lamp to resemble the crystal light ontop.
Ocean Cube - with Expanse of water containing squids and chickens and appropriate decoration.
Tunnel Cube - Based on the underground passages spawned in vanilla minecraft and the support struts and spider spawners.
Frozen Cube - With a frozen pond and Snow Golems to boot.

I have spent a lot of time on it and hope you give me some feedback, i have the project ready for download but just want to get your opinion as your cube levels are quite popular and want to know if you think its a good idea.

You can remove everything with McEdit or just make a new world, choose superflat and change the presets, should work too, not sure xP

Yes plz update it because when I played this with my lil bro on my server, we tried to get some water using the bucket but the water kept flashing from the bucket. Then the water looked messed up as if they have blocks in between them... o.O

Don't Give this Map up.
The spawn Bug can Be fixed if you let him spawn outside of the Cube, and Port him into the Cube with a Commandblock

Hey, I've enjoyed playing this. I have completed the Cube Survival and am currently doing the More Cubes Survival on my youtube channel. Just search my name, I'm sure it will pop up. And if there's a way you can add video on here (I'm more familiar with Minecraft Forums), then you should really use it (just an idea).

-winter
-(Forgot how it's called, comes after winter
-Summer
-Fall

Sub-seasons
-Easter
-Tropical vacation (optional)
-Halloween!
-Christmas
-And so on, just look at angry birds seasons

I am a wimp, Can i play on peaceful? i always do i use cheats to get items critical to survival gameplay (blaze rods, Ender pearls etc.)
