This started as a simple custom terrain, but has now spawned into a highly detailed, full adventure map, with objectives, story line, and ending event. The whole project was actually inspired and designed around a picture I found that someone had posted to Deviantart. Check out the update log for a full list of map features, and changes that have been made.

Anvil Update (1.2.5)

I have updated the map again to fix some annoying bugs, make some improvements, and to keep it current, here are a few of the major ones.

-New custom biomes that match up to the island, and provide some mob free areas.

-Completely fixed the low level fog/lighting issue by changing world type to flat.

-Updated almost all the main loot to new enchanted items and potions.

-Added some cave lapis luzi 'markers' to help in finding the portals.

-Clarified some of the objective and ruin text.

Adventure Update (old)

I have worked the last few weeks on completely changing how this map looks and plays, and am very excited to finally be able to release it. It is now a full adventure map with story line, several main objectives, side challenges, and lots of new areas to explore and hidden items to find. Here is a short list of some of the changes

-Many new different sized ruins added, including the large story device area.

-Lots of new hidden chests and loot, 50+ in total.

-Several special end story line events, surprises and rewards.

-Lots of new environment/landscape detail and secret areas added.

-Added lots of interactive redstone devices, and special item fountains.

-Updated and optimized for 1.9 pre5 with a few special enchanted rewards and potions.

Additional Details

The schematic has not been updated since the adventure changes.

This map is best viewed with Ovo's Rustic Pack.

-Updated most of the loot to better enchanted items and potions.

-Added some lapis luzi block 'markers' to make it easier when finding the portals.

-Fixed bugs with some end event redstone track and one of portal room doors.

-Changed the floor of the large ruin and other portal room to accommodate the flatland void.

-Changed ruin alter so that you can use it without activating the device.

-Added extra portal blocks after the main device, and a few other items and signs.

-Fixed the low level lighting problem by switching world type to flatland.

-New custom biomes, jungle, beaches, ocean, and also mushroom to stop mob spawning.

-Fixed and changed a few of the mob spawners.

-Reworded some of the signs for better understanding.

-Several other minor changes/improvments.

-Updated world to new 256 height.

-Added in new starting area close to the spawn point.

-Added in a map story line/background, rules, info and objectives.

-Added in large main ruin area for the redstone story line device.

-Added an end story event leading to a huge new TNT opened cave entrance.

-Added a few large caves outside of the sunken area.

-Added a mushroom village in the hidden outside cave area.

-Created a large boat in the hidden caves.

-Added in lots of special enchanted items/table for end rewards.

-Added lots of potions, brewing stand, and reagents for end rewards.

-Created a large glowstone 'End' room in the hidden caves.

-Added medium waterfall with small cave behind the water.

-Added several other small ponds and a surface lava pool.

-Created many small and medium sized ruins over the whole island.

-Added outside large redstone lava/water alter.

-Created several interactive 'luck' item fountains.

-Added 22 story (portal) blocks hidden around the island caves.

-Added lots of random hidden chests with loot, total is now 50+.

-Added lots of vines and lily pads all over the island.

-Added in many animal web 'traps' all over.

-Manually spawned lots of animals.

-Added in a few small gravel pits.

-Added in lava traps behind all reward diamond blocks.

-Added in super secret diamond armor/tools chest in main ruin.

-Changed/added in lots of the spawner rooms.

-Created new silverfish tunnel that loops around most of the island.

-Created all new ruin type entrances into the mountain caves.

-Added in villagers to the hidden mushroom village and boat.

-Many terraforming and lighting changes to the mountain caves.

-Moved the old shack and added a few small details.

-Added a few small lava traps to the ruins.

-Changed map seed to fix 1.9 biome problems.

-Added in lots of small environment detail all over.

-Added lots of random arrow dispensers around.

-Added all new in game screenshots to project.

-Added short trailer video.

-Updated both download files.

-Balanced ores a lot better, a lot less gold and diamond around the beach and cave walls.

-Added more iron and coal to some of the open stone areas and spires.

-Added in some buried treasure in two spots just off the beach a bit.

-Added around 8 monster spawners with some diamond reward.

-Made lots of small changes inside the large cave system.

-Added in a small arch way close to the starting area.

-Added in a beach cave leading to the large mountain caverns on one side of the island.

-Added in a rundown hut with a few items around it.

-Added in sandstone and clay to a few stone areas around the beach.

-Added in two small pumpkin patches.

-Updated both download files.
