Welcome towards the Cyclonia Tower Colony,
Here we reside with peace and no hurry. With few travelers coming along, the few that do, do it mostly without the intention. As our colony resides in a near endless foggy area no cartographer ventured in or made it out alive to put it on a map.
Economy:
Our economy is near self-sustaining. The food supply is self-sustaining due to all the gardens. Water is collected from the fog, the spare sunlight getting through fuels the solar panels. We do have some animals that provide, eggs and milk. Only on special occasions we have meat. The animal population is to small to have regular meat.
The stuff, such as building materials (wood, stone a.s.) are traded with those who stumble upon our colony and in need of refueling their rations.
Transport:
Internal transport is done by good ol climbing, no elevators with high maintenance. Besides, our colony is small, to make it feel larger you will need to increase the time to go from one place to another. Another benefit is that we stay in shape, we don’t have space for sport accommodations. But we do need to climb those stairs in bad conditions.
The building/lore:
We self once stumbled upon it as our bloodstock near emptied. Our ship was on the brink of sinking. On the first storm, the ship sank. Leaving us with no means of return. As we explored the building we noticed the amount of rooms, space for gardening and an odd room below.
We still don’t know who builded it and for what but we do notice the following systems:
Systems:
- supplied by some kind of redstone that wires through out the whole complex. It seems modular made due to all the outlets on each ‘module’ The power seems to come from all the solar cells on each module.
- waste can be thrown in any hopper like bin, NO RETURNS!
- no water purification system is needed, the water from the fog is clean enough.
Other notes:
I made this entry with in mind the ‘open concept’ this contest is. As skyscrapers are in generally grounded with a lot of external resources are need (a.k.a. power generation, food supply and such). I wished to explore a more self-sustaining/greener looking skyscraper. And why not make it ‘floating’ in to the unknown foggy world? It still uses almost the maximum height in Minecraft.

Personally I appreciate more a thoughtful comment than a diamond.
So leave a comment if you like, having a question or not and say why :-)
Good luck to other contestants, may the best one win & have fun above all!

I am already in the finals, so it is now fully upon the judges.
Thanks for the compliment & comment :-)
More serioulsy, I am impressed by the structure and by just walking all around the tower and all those flats, farms, tech rooms on the circular way.
Yep putting these together to make it self-sustainable. Thanks for the comment!
This looks like a lot of FUN to explore. Can't wait to have a look around :D
Have fun exploring the map
