This is a pyramid within a pyramid.  The internal one has a water fountain with torch lighting.  The outer pyramid has opening to reveal the internal.  Although you can't see it, there's actually more pyramids inside, each with water & lighting but I wanted a larger final result, so I kept building.

There's nothing quite like playing Minecraft for the first time. I think of how simple and exciting that world was & still is.  I still have the world somewhere. Also, back then, my girlfriend Hailenash played, and it's one of the few games that she and I were really able to play for hours and hours.  I know we played a few days straight till 4:00am.  We listened to Boombox : Visions of Backbeat which will forever remind me of this world as well :).  Soooo much detail and thought went into everything.  It wasn't about building the biggest or craziest thing imaginable.  It's still not but like everything as you get used to it, you begin to take the little things for granted and start trying to go bigger and better.  That's why we like to build around unique themes. It sort of erases everything you tried before and you can start fresh.

I honestly haven't really sat down and played / built a world like that in a long time.  Hailenash and I are planning on entering the Island Resort contest even though we can't win.  She hasn't played in at least 7-8 months.  Going to be fun! :)

Yup! I think Minecraft kind of lost its 'creative' feeling around 1.8.. I don't know, I think it was the new updates which tried to turn it into an RPG - Or the phase of going from a 'noob' into an experienced builder.
