Feel free to download my trapdoor drawbridge design, the redstone is well hidden and it is operated by a button on either side, each button can be pressed at any time (does not require operation from one side at a time).

The redstone is hidden underground, you can just dig it up and reverse engineer it!

Can be made cheaply in survival without the need for pistons

Required are:

-redstone
-redstone torches
-repeaters

the bridge can be as long as the redstone current will flow.
