Here's the spawn for my upcoming Factions/PvP server, FreshUniverse Factions. The goal of this spawn is not only for it to be fun for players on their first join, but to make them feel like they're part of our server. I'm adding a few Parkour couses in a few areas to start. The spawn will also help them get on their feet before they deal with the server factions.

Our server is currently whitelisted, because we're adding awesome features to the maps to make them stand out. We should be open in early to mid-Spring!

A little about the server:

While this is obviously a Factions and PvP server, one thing we want to do differently that most Minecraft servers in general lack is communicate with our players, and deeply integrate how we communicate with social networking, specifically Twitter. FU's prime mission is to create a place where allies can be built through real life connections with friends and players abroad, throughout the world, while still promoting rivalries. That gives players a chance to have fun, constantly battling for land instead of competing against small factions with not much fighting, only a little bit of the time the server is on. We want to hold a strong follower-base in order to effectively promote events, deals, and news for the server.

Our second mission is to create fast-paced faction action without the "special sauce" seen in other failing servers. Being a server owner and administrator for four years, I've seen a great deal of mistakes made on many modern and classic servers that caused them to shut down. Players won't worry about that stuff.v
