This is my first attempt with world painter. I made an island with some mountains. Thought I might turn it into a adventure map at some point. I spent some time placing the trees to cover up some of my mistakes with world painter I wiil continue making it better and I will add a few structures and a town.  Hopefully I can improve.

Looks nice better than my fist atempt at skyward sword. (I nad no bumps exept walls and mountains : D)

Actually I found out about something you might like.
There's a good program called world machine; it's not specificaly for minecraft but I've seen some pretty neat things built with it.
I don't know how to use it but i'm pretty sure there are tutorials online.

P.S. The download is for vesion 1/the trial of 2.2 on the download page below the newsletter signup. Just don't get too hyped because on the free version there is a size limit of 513x513 pixles and you can't make money off it but nothing too bad.
