If you're tired of fighting for your life daily, why don't you book a trip to Ivory Beach? We've got you covered with golden beaches, tourist attractions, nightclubs, pleasant gardens and viewpoints, sports activities and restaurants. Either stay at the bungalows by the pool area or take a room from the gigantic ultramodern Sun-hotel building. You might even see hotel boss Notch Persson walking about. Let the warm breeze relax you, for Ivory Beach is all about relaxing!!!

I had serious time problems with this map. Last block was placed half an hour before the deadline. And I only got to know of this contest one week before the end. I hope someone still enjoys it, even if some parts are a bit rushed!


Jyoda helped with voxelsniping, he lowered the whole island 20 blocks to make room for the hotel. (so this is probably the highest map in the whole contest)

Okay, so I saw your sled house, I gave it a diamond, and I downloaded it, but I was not sure about subscribing until I saw this. Great job! This rivals Olann Island in awesomeness!

"Hmmm, where shall I go for my holiday off? I'm sick of being on Survival, and mining diamonds all of my Minelife. I'm having a break - on creative!" I say. I look up 'Holiday Resorts', and an amazing thing pops up. Ivory Beach Resort!
"Wow, I am most DEFINTALY going here! Wow, only one diamond? Where's my diamond pickaxe?" I smile. I pick up my axe and mine a diamond, then book it.
"This is the life!" I shout, with such glee.

The winner hasn't been decided yet. But anyways I don't know how to put in MCedit blueprints (or whatever they're called), but you can always download the map and just do it yourself. No permission needed it's not like this is commercial stuff.

I believe to make a MCedit file, you just take the level.dat file from the world file, and then upload it on here, without going to mediafire and whatnot.


But, alas, this is only what I believe. I don not know if it is true, but somebody told me that when I uploaded a level.dat file, instead of world file for a project of mine. So, I suppose it is worth a try.

I gave the 87th diamond! This is absolutely fantastic! The details put in really paid off and the whole picture of a resort island really comes together here. I like how there are also some open areas for Steve to explore during his nature walks. Hahaha! Good luck, you did a great job!

You'll probably have to download the map and then after creating the server you open server.properties file from where you change world-parameter to the map folders name. Or better yet find the instructions somewhere else because I can't tell them clearly :D

i like it, but it looks like you did some major terraforming when the contest was to use the island terrain, so my diamond isn't for the contest, but, this map looks amazing on its own so u are still getting a diamond for me (#81)

Actually the contest rules say that you can transform the terrain, but yeah I see your point it would have been much more skillful to make something that caters to the terrain rather than make the terrain better for me :P

I do like your beach design
-the different levels of the sand 
-the usage/combination of wood and sandstone


and your buildings at the beach just blend well together, its a good mix


I liked your big appartment and that radiotowerthingy much less :s
